We arrived very late on a Friday night, at first a little concerned at cheek in as the young man seamed a little out of his depth, but all was ok. Next day found the staff very helpful, but we did ask that family joining us be latter that day be near us, they where put 2 floors down from... More

More like a big Motel it is an ideal choice if you are driving... best of all no parking fees! and it is within walking distance to some of the major attractions in Seattle - Space Needle included; Lobby is big and practical instead of cozy, lacks some atmosphere... Decor is rather strange on corridors and rooms... yes the bed... More

We stayed here in August for 2 nights and were very comfortable. The location is great for walking. The staff is friendly and efficient and there is a nice lobby for sitting and reading or visiting. The afternoon cupcakes are a nice touch. Also there is a great coffee bar in the lobby. I will stay here again.

I stayed here recently with family for two nights and thought had a great experience overall. Probably the best feature of the hotel is it's close location to popular Seattle attractions (e.g., Olympic Sculpture Garden, Seattle Center, etc...). The hotel is located in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood which feels urban but is a very close walk to the more... More

We are thrilled that you enjoyed the location and the spacious rooms. I'm sorry for the abandoned building behind the hotel. It is one of the few poor sights in the area which is a very nice area. Thank you for staying with us! All my best, Woody Braden More

We stayed for four nights at the Maxwell for our first trip to Seattle. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was pleasant and extremely helpful. The staff at the hotel helped us with restaurant recommendations, the best way to get to Friday Harbor, and good things to do while in Seattle. Check in and check out were quick and simple.... More

It's stylish, convenient and friendly. The hotel is outside downtown but incredibly convenient. Parking is free but you don't need a car if you're staying here. The monorail to downtown is 2 blocks south, Hotel Maxwell also offers a free shuttle to and from most part of Seattle for free from 8AM to 5PM, there's free cruiser bikes, Uber/Cab rides... More

A really mixed bag. Great location (by Space Needle campus) and very nice rooms. The personal service that was so lauded was absent in our case...lots of newly hired and distracted 20 somethings at the desk. The view out the back is truly horrifying ... a crack house with squatters... but no spillover to the hotel. Lots of good restaurants... More

Thank you for the review. I'm so sorry to hear that you felt the service was lacking. Please email me at wbraden@staypineapple.com if you would like to discuss this further. I would love to get the team back on track! The building behind the hotel is definitely a strain on the eyes but the neighborhood is a very nice one.... More

I had help with choosing this hotel - The knowledge base of TripAdvisor. I found that is was a true gem. Apart from the fact that the rooms are large and have everything you need, all the rest is free. Here is a list of all free things: 1. Mineral Water in the room 2. Shuttle to Downtown (reservation) 3.... More

We recently spent 5 nights in Seattle for a family wedding. Our group had two rooms at the Maxwell. It was a pleasant experience for everyone. One handicapped accessible room which was one of the most well planned I've ever seen. The other a 2 queen bed room for a family of 4 which was more compact but plenty of... More

My first visit to Seattle consisted of 7 nights at this Hotel. The Hotel is located near downtown. It is within walking distance of the Space Needle, The EMP/Science Fiction Museum, and the Pacific Science Center. The check in process was quick and pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and relaxing. There is a Restaurant/Bar located near the lobby called the... More
