Stayed at this hostel for 3 nights in a private room as I had just flown in from the UK. Got to the hostel extremely tired and had to wait for the room, which was slightly irritating but I understand why. The room itself was alright but I wouldn't go raving mad about it. Shared bathrooms in the hall as... More

I was here in this hostel for the Emerald City Comic Con last year (beginning of March) and spent a total of two nights in it. Me and a friend shared a bunkbed in a room that had four beds (two bunkbeds) and was supposedly a female only area. My first issue was the bedroom's window. It had a small... More

This is clean hostel with lots of character located in a terrific location. We were in town to see a soccer game at Century-Link Field, and this place turned out to be only a five-minute walk from there! It's right on the edge of Chinatown and is surrounded by delicious-smelling restaurants. It's maybe a 10-minute walk from Pioneer Square. The... More

Rooms are small, showers were just fine, beds are VERY uncomfortable. Overall not a the worst experience but I've been to better hostels. Location is nice but could have been better- it's right in the middle of China Town and you could walk to the actual center but it'd take a few minutes, and there are some junkies in the... More

Staff were nice enough but not overly helpful. Theres not much of a social atmosphere like other hostels ive been to. Free breakfast was cool being a thrifty traveller. The location is a hole. The international district is full of homeless people, if you hang outside at night you'll see some crazy stuff going on. The pub on the corner... More

I don't understand how this hostel has such high reviews? Comparing to any hostel I've been to in Europe, this lacks a bit. The beds were quite clean and comfortable so I will give them that. If you are going to book here, I suggest booking a room in the centre of the building as the alley ways are loud.... More

Thanks for your comments and observations. Being in the city, we do get our share of city type noise. Our apologies for the sleep interruption. I hope your future travels are restful and noise free. Cheers and travel safe. More

Nice folks with a well run, clean, happy place. Good neighborhood, nice rooms, elevator for old people, places to work, hot showers, maps, easy to get to from public transport. I will stay again in November. The rates are very reasonable. This place is aces.

I stayed here for a week in July as part of a group of teachers studying at a National Endowment for the Humanities seminar held at the nearby Wing Luke Museum. First the good: The location was great with easy access to airport train, Sounder trains and bus stops. The International District has amazing dining, and the Wing Luke is... More

Thank your for your detailed account of a weeks stay at HI Seattle. The rooms can get warm during the very limited days of hot weather in the Northwest. I also have a room facing south. I find if I open my transom and street side window, I get a decent cross breeze. A cool shower at night before bed... More

I stayed at this HI several times and was always sattusfied here. The rooms can be crowded and loud depends on the roommates you get but therefore its s hostel. Washrooms are usually clean, staff friendly depending on who you get and breakfast very good. Its around 30$/night which is actually not really cheap for backpackers but the usual price... More

Stayed here alone then came back to stay with friends, all the staff were very friendly, efficient, and informative. They went above and beyond to accommodate any needs that I had. The hostel had clean rooms, very hygienic bathrooms and kitchen area. I was most impressed with their environmental awareness and recycling programme. I'd highly recommend this hostel for a... More
