Stayed there for 3 days, havent seen a single soul, no reception, no help, not even guests! Comfy place, clean rooms, nice spot but very boring. Went to the bar downstairs, rude bartender. Coffee? Breakfast? No where to be found.

A friend booked a group of 8 to us stay here. I rarely write less than stellar reviews but The College Inn left much to be desired. To begin with, we were met by a rude representative at the door who told us the place was sold out. We informed him that we were meeting friends who had checked in.... More

Thank you for your review. I sincerely apologize for your experience. I will speak with the person that you met upon your arrival. His reception should be welcoming but informative about our policy to only allow only register guests in our secured building. Our policy is to only allow register guests into rooms when they do not have their keys.... More

If you're looking for an excellent value a little bit off the beaten path, the College Inn is just the place. It's spotlessly clean and cozy with an Old World feel. The bed was great (one of my top criteria) and the service helpful and friendly. The included continental breakfast and coffee were enough to make a good start to... More

My flight into Seattle arrived rather late, and I took a shuttle to the College Inn in the University "U" District in Seattle. I arrived much later than anticipated, but the hotel/hostel staff were so gracious and accommodating. I rang the doorbell at some time after midnight, and the staff person came down to let me in and show me... More

Let's face it from a point of view of a student like me. Before comimg to Seatle I went to California, I paid in average 30 bucks for the rooms, and all of them had private bathroom and the room was nice. This hotel had only shared bathrooms! I didn't notice that before booking and it was a terrible surprise...... More

Thank you for your posting. I apologize you were not informed to our European style hotel. The hotel was build in 1909 for the world's fair and is a national historic landmark. The building and bathroom's are architectural the same as 1909. However, the bathrooms have been modernize and are very clean. I encourage you to read the other reviews... More

If you understand this is a bare bones hotel with shared bath you will find this a perfectly acceptable place to stay with a good rate. I reserved here thinking I was reserving the nearby University Inn and simply thought I got a good rate. I arrived and immediately knew I was at a different place. Need to get buzzed... More

The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Nothing fancy, but pretty inexpensive for the Seattle area. The pub is a nice touch. Parking is a problem so if you have a lot of luggage, you will probalby want to stay somewhere else.

I have stayed here 3x now. I live in the Seattle area and the place where I live in getting remodeled and sometimes, when I can afford it, I have to get away from the noise etc. This is a great location and I work at the UW so it is very close. I wish they offered a discount to... More

Be advised. You could fit a whole animal through the crack under the door, at least! Also, the "actual size" make up remover pads seem to have been removed from our amenities. The diagonally folded Kleenex that separated the cups from the dresser made me feel that they were applying some effort, but after trying to fold one from the... More

The facility is kept very clean. Bathrooms are shared but people are courteous so no big deal. Great location. Most comfortable bed and pillow I've slept on in a motel. Slept like a baby.
