We stayed at this hotel for a few days before our Alaskan Cruise, my husband booked a King Deluxe Suite as a surprise for me and wow what a great surprise.
The suite was excellent with a spacious lounge area and bedroom, there was also a small annex where you could make coffee/tea etc, the bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in in a hotel, the music system was a nice touch.
The hotel is 100 years old and privately owned, all the staff were mutiskilled and very much hands on, the conciege team were friendly, polite and very professional and any requests that we had were dealt with immediately.
Although this hotel is old it has elegance and charm throughout, even down to the squeaky floors, the lounge area is comfortable and peaceful, ideal for after dinner coffee or a read of the newspaper (complimentry).
