What a dissapointment this Hotel was. Location was fine and intitial impression is good but the staff was incompetent on top of having a strange facility to work in. Part of the hotel floors are full time condos and the rest are normal hotel rooms. I'm not sure which were first but this hotel has the SLOWEST elevators known to... more

We are very sorry to have dropped the ball on your stay. You had asked to be on a quiet floor and we didn’t deliver. It is critical for us that our guests are allowed to relax and get a good night’s sleep, and I will be the first to acknowledge how disconcerting it can be when you are next...

Great modern hotel. Clean room. Good food onsite (happy hour was awesome!). Located close to everything we wanted to do in Seattle (Pikes, Space Needle, Capital Hill, Shopping). Comfortable bed. Loved the TV! Hotel turn-down service was not the best (I thought they should leave chocolates) and we tipped the cleaning staff daily but did not get better service which... more

I stayed at this property for three nights at the end of October, 2009. I booked the hotel through Priceline. I often worry about what kind of room I will get when booking this way, but no worry was necessary here. I had a room on the 14th floor near the elevators, but it was still very quiet. The only... more

I stayed at this hotel for a conference for 3 nights. 1) Staff were friendly, courteous, and efficient. My bill took no time at all to print out. My room service was delivered in 5 mins (it was fruit & cottage cheese). I got sick in the middle f the night and they brought me up some ginger ale. The... more

Excellent! Thanks for the detailed review…we hope that we made your conference trip feel like a vacation! Glad to hear we could help when you were sick and that you found the beds to be comfortable. Thanks for the feedback on the doors; we will be looking into a remedy for that.

The highlight of this hotel from my point of view are the 37" LCD TV's that bring HDTV to your hotel room. The rooms look new and quite clean. The location of the hotel is close to the Convention Center and downtown Seattle. The restaurant inside the hotel is extremely overpriced, but you can find everything you need close by.... more

Glad that you enjoyed the HD TV’s. We have 37” flat screens in all rooms. Guests can even dock their laptops or iPods to view as full or half screens. Sorry that you felt the restaurant was too pricey, but you are correct that there are all kinds of options close by covering quite a spectrum of food and price....

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The gym is first class with modern LifeFitness equipment in a super clean gym looking outside from the 2nd floor. There are free weights as well as an adjoining room for aerobics, yoga, etc. There were at least 8 treadmills and 4 bicycle machines. The restaurant and lobby bar were extremely... more

Thanks for the great review, glad that you were able to take advantage of all areas of the hotel and that our service was helpful (and I enjoyed your play on words in the title of your review!). We are really proud of that gym, and take a lot of pride that everything in the Restaurant and Bar is as...

This hotel was very nice and within the financial district in Seattle. Not too close to downtown nightlife, but walkable to shopping and Pike's Place. The rooms were not terribly big, but well furnished and made good use of the space. more

Thanks for staying with us and taking time to post your comments. While we are seven blocks from Belltown, there is still a lot to do in our part of downtown, including the Paramount and 5th Avenue theaters and a number of restaurants and lounges. Our standards rooms range in size from 345 to 473 square feet, definitely above average...

The experience staying at the Olive 8 was greatly diminished by the poor service in the dining/bar aspect of the hotel. My overall feeling was that we were an inconvenience and the young lady that served us had no business being in a service/hospitality job. We stayed there 4 nights and on the last night we had to ask to... more

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback. We are very sorry that the experience in the restaurant soured your stay with us. We will certainly review your comments with the entire team in the restaurant and reemphasize our service standards. This is certainly not acceptable and we hope that you will give us another chance in the future.

Conceived and created as a green hotel, this is one of the few LEED-certified hotels in the U.S. . And every room has a system where lights and appliances can only be used if a keycard is in a wall slot, which ensures you don’t leave anything on while you’re out. Great staff, attention to every detail. more

Our hotel was created for guests like you who appreciate it. Great to hear that you were pleased with the staff and attention to detail as well, because we are out to prove that you can keep a strong focus on sustainability and still present a very luxurious hotel. The hotel was great and so was the price! The decor was beatiful, clean and modern. The rooms were very comfortable. The pool was beautiful too. The location was central. I would highly recommend the hotel more
