We've stayed three times at City Hostel, this time with our son and his bride. Each room has distinctive art works and ours in early July, had an underwater sea theme in bright colours. the name of the artist featured is on every door. In late July we had a room of photos featuring nude women!. A great bathroom when... More

We liked this place - it was a great value and an interesting place to sleep. As others have mentioned, each room is decorated by a different artist. We stayed here for 2 separate nights on our trip to WA. The first night, they put us in a room with windows facing the street. It was extremely loud from all... More

This is in a great area of town, Belltown. It's close to Pikes Place Market, cool bars, and decent restaurants. The staff is awesome, friendly, and helpful. I even hung out with them one night! The rooms are standardly like a hostel. There is cool art in each room. In addition, there is a plethora of restrooms in the hostel-... More

Well this was my first hostel visit and if this is what it's like I'm booking one again. Reception were very helpful and couldn't do enough. I had room 301 it is at the back and I had no noise. Some folks at front got street noise, few lively bars near by. Breakfast was good with great coffee. It's close... More

Good location in downtown Seattle, with a great bakery around the corner, and good restaurants and bars in the area. Walking distance to Pike Place Market. Easy access to local buses. Good free breakfast and wifi. Excellent security. Very helpful and friendly staff. I stayed four nights at City Hostel, and was having such a good time in Seattle that... More

We stayed four nights here in a private en suite room. I am not sure if the room decor would be to all tastes (ours was mainly tasteful nude photos), but it does make for a unique experience. The staff were very helpful and the security was excellent, in what can be a lively area of Seattle. The breakfast area... More

Two stays in three weeks. Single elderly lady opted for private room- the first stay needed to share a bathroom which was brand new and immaculate, great shower, even a hair dryer. Second stay had private room with its own bath. Both rooms spacious. Staff efficient and friendly, all the amenities including free wifi, breakfast, tv room, books, etc. Fantastic... More

Highly recommend! Arrival and check in was painless. Really friendly and helpful staff who can give you hints and tips. No elevator but its only 3 floors. Rooms are spacious with a private bathroom for every 4 bed room. The bathrooms in the hallway are nicer though and plentiful. Interesting and bright decor. Breakfast is filling and offers surprising variety.... More

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The location was really great - cute area a little to the side of the downtown. Good restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Our room had been painted by a local artist which was cool but crazy, with lots of faces, clashing colours and black making it not the most relaxing room. It... More

I have stayed here a few times and it is great place to stay. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The place is clean and comfortable. It is well-located in BellTown - a slightly sketchy neighborhood close to downtown. Since my last stay they have done a small renovation. The... More
