We stayed here for 3 nights in order to explore Seattle and surrounds. It really is a lovely guesthouse. We had a large bedroom, extra seating room/study area/dressing room and a large bathroom. Everything had been thought of in the room. There was a fan if it gets too hot, blankets if it gets cold, bathroom amenities, robes, hairdryer, fridge,... More

My husband and I recently visited Seattle for 5 nights, staying at the Foxglove Guesthouse. Since it was our first experience at a B&B, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was blown away! The house was beautiful, the bedrooms were very clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was the perfect start to our day. The area is quiet,... More

We recently returned home from visiting a friend in Seattle, and had the pleasure of staying 5 nights at the Foxglove Guesthouse. The location was on a quiet street within walking distance to numerous restaurants. There were 3 other couples with us, so we occupied all 4 rooms. Each room was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. John was an outstanding... More

We couldn't say enough about how beautiful this home is -- stunning on every level, and incredibly comfortable. The 'continental' breakfast is actually a small feast. You can tell that much care is taken for the meal, the rooms, and general presentation of the guesthouse. John was a great host, very welcoming and helpful. Street parking was also easy, which... What a beautiful and well furnished home. I say home because that's how it felt. Warm, friendly, comfortable, spacious and quiet. The bed was great and the living room and dining room were exquisitely furnished with antiques and collectibles. The continental breakfast was worthy of a five star restaurant. Fresh fruit and baked goods from the farmer's market and the... More

We recently stayed three nights while passing through Seattle, as everybody says John is a marvellous host, good advice on everything in Seattle from where I could find Edward Curtis photographs to the best local restaurants and local alternatives to downtown Seattle. The house is beautiful in a quite street close to 15th Avenue, The native American art and decorations... More

My husband and I stayed in Room #4 and enjoyed the airy room, the spacious and modern bathroom, and the cleanliness. The house is beautiful and set in Capitol Hill, a charming and quiet neighborhood with interesting restaurants, etc. a short walk away. Breakfast, while advertised as continental, was abundant ... healthy, lots of choices, and filling. John was an... More

Our second visit to the Foxglove, and just as good as the first. This time we were in a double, en suite room at the back of the house. Slightly smaller than the big room at the front, but still plenty space and overlooking the lovely garden so definitely quieter. John has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable.... Recently stayed 3 nights after an Alaskan cruise. This place is as good as the previous reviews. John made us very welcome and the whole house is very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and pastries. The bus service to Downtown was frequent and reasonably priced. The local restaurants and bars were good and just... More

We stayed at the Foxglove Guest house for 3 nights. John is the best host ever. His continental breakfasts were "to die for." I have never had a better continental breakfast. My wife and I loved the home feel and rustic charm. John was very helpful to answer our questions about the city, it's hidden gyms and things to see... More
