What a wonderful surprise to find the Foxglove Guesthouse! It is so clean and comfortable , has interesting "stuff" all around and is a beautiful example of the time period (1905). Love the fact that the fireplace is going in the morning and evening - it was December after all and gave the house a warmer feeling. While the afternoon... More

I stayed in the smallest room in Foxglove for 2 nights this Fall and I am so glad I stayed there. The property is very well maintained and equipped. Here're the pros and cons: Pros: - John is an awesome host! He got me covered including parking and gave me good information about where to visit and what to see.... More

I went to Seattle for a work trip and my husband joined me for a few days prior for some much needed R&R. John was an amazing host and we loved the house. Capital Hill was a great place to stay and several nights, we walked up the road to have dinner or visit the bakery (we highly recommend Rione... More

I met my friend in Seattle for a girls weekend and we stayed at Foxglove for the 4 nights. To say it was cozy and welcoming is an understatement. John made it feel like our home for the weekend. We were greeted every morning by a well prepared and thought out breakfast, including amazing Seattle coffee (of course), along with... More

Having loved B&B experiences while traveling in England we decided to look for one in Seattle for our visit. The Foxglove turned out to be all we hoped for and more. We stayed in the room at the top, which was clean, spacious, and had a large shower. The main floor was full of interesting books and items, and the... More

My husband had a conference to attend so I tagged along on the front end of his trip so we could explore Seattle for the first time. John was very accommodating and allowed us to drop our bags off very early since our flight arrived before lunch. We had booked Room One but he ended up giving us Room Two,... More

We stayed at Foxglove for the first four nights of our honeymoon and were delighted with the choice. It's a little out of the centre but we found this an advantage - a lovely peaceful refuge to come back to and a short trip to all the city's attractions, and just round the corner from some of the nicest places... After being shocked with the price of hotels in Seattle we decided on selecting a B&B which we prefer anyway. Foxglove was recommended by another B&B that was full. John was an excellent host, friendly and a bit reserved. The room was nicely appointed and had plenty of space. The living room was furnished with interesting antiques. The continental breakfast... This is a lovely place to stay - full of lovely things to see and places to sit and with very comfortable rooms with everything you could need available. The breakfasts were fantastic and John is a pleasant host. The location is great too - a quiet area for the house but very near a good bus service to downtown... More

My husband and I along with his cousin and his wife enjoyed this home away from home while in Seattle for the 15th annual and unfortunately last mega geocaching event to be held in Seattle headquarters for geocaching. The guest house is spotless, housekeeping to our rooms every day of our 5 day stay. The bed was very comfortable and... More
