We stayed for three nights. Lovely accommodation, very comfortable with small, private bath. Enough outlets for various computers, iphones, etc. Warm, hospitable host. House beautifully appointed, with books on art, architecture and other topics available to read. Warm living room with welcoming fireplace. Street parking; host offers a complimentary parking pass. We would both be very happy to stay at... More

I love staying at the Foxglove and I'm certainly looking forward to our next stay, coming up soon. The first time was an unexpected delight, and now we try to stay here once a year when attending an annual event. It always feels like a proper get-away, complete with beauty, charm, comfort — and a complete change from home, with... More

Every time I have walked through the front door of the Foxglove Guest house, it has felt like coming home. The Guesthouse is well run, and John is a great host. The atmosphere is quiet and elegant, the rooms are well appointed. Though situated on a quiet street on Capitol Hill, the location is very central and close to restaurants,... More

We always try to stay at the Foxglove when visiting Seattle. John and Dan are gracious and helpful hosts, flawlessly coordinating their brand of warm hospitality and quiet privacy. The elegant craftsman style Foxglove has charming antiques and northwest art ,yet enough modern trappings, (like spotless bathrooms and a rocking Wifi)that makes even the pickiest guest like my husband, love... This B&B is highly recommended. It is a great place to stay if you plan on doing a lot of eating & drinking in Seattle. It is an easy walk to a ton of different great bars and restaurants. It is also a pretty easy walk to Pike's Market and to the ferry terminal (not short but doable). Also, great... More

Nearly everything about this B&B is perfect. We loved the fresh fruit and baked goods in the morning. The interior of the house and especially our room were done to a tee, and the location is excellent. John was the perfect host. We had one not insignificant quibble however-- the bed. If you like a soft, saggy mattress, you shouldn't... More

First of all I'd like to thank this guest for taking the time to write a review on the Foxglove. We really appreciate any and all feedback from our guests. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy the pillow top mattress in room #4. This is the first time anyone has said that they don't like the bed. As an... More

The Foxglove was a great place for "grammie" to stay for a long weekend. Room 2 was spacious and comfortable. The clawfoot tub was great for soaking after a day at the pumpkin patch. The breakfast had all my favorite fruits and it was nice to enjoy a cup of tea whenever I wanted. John was a great host.

Everything about this place is wonderful -- the house (gorgeous), the breakfast (the healthiest we had during our entire vacation -- yogurt, cereal, breads, and so very many berries and fruits!), the location (Capitol Hill: 'nuff said), and especially the hosts. If you are going to visit Seattle, this is the place to stay!

My husband and I spent a week at the Foxglove and were delighted. The house is lovely, beautifully decorated with coastal tribal art and mission furniture. The room we stayed in (Room #2) suited us very well: The bed was comfortable, and despite facing the street it was very quiet at night. The separate sitting room was cozy, and gave... More

I've spent 5 nights at the Foxglove and could not have been happier. The house is beautiful, quiet and in a great location. The neighborhood is just perfect (Volunteer Park to have a peaceful walk or Broadway for restaurants and shops) and it's an easy stroll to Downtown - or a 10 minutes bus drive when coming back in the...
