Traveled to Seattle in October of 2014 to visit my son and for a work conference - SO GLAD I found the Foxglove Guesthouse! The room was clean and beautiful, the furnishings were comfy and John was warm and welcoming. Breakfast each morning featured healthy fare including fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and assorted baked goods. The location was perfect for... More

Great hospitality, excellent bed, immaculate environment but also the house shows off the notable talent of its owners in their sensitive restoration of a great old Seattle home. Breakfast included a wide range of fresh fruits, fresh pastries, fresh coffee, cheeses, boiled eggs, four choices of gourmet granola and fresh milk and cream...Yum.

We stayed in the peaceful loft and it was super clean, comfortable and had character. The bathroom was nice and modern. The space was very roomy. The breakfast - delicious fresh fruit (including figs and berries), baked croissants, cheese, great coffee and more - was at your leisure. John was great - accommodating and friendly, but we also felt like... More

What a beautiful place to stay. Our room was gorgeous, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was great-with cereals and fruit and freshly baked pastries. John was also very welcoming, and gave us some great advice about place to see and to eat and drink in the area. It is a little way out of downtown-but that wasn't a... More

We are so glad that we stayed in this beautiful guest house on our recent trip to Seattle. John was very accommodating as we arrived earlier than the check in time. We loved the 15th street bars and restaurants that had a completely different feel from Downtown. John made some great suggestions for alternative things to do including Volunteer park... More

Foxglove was a charming B&B in Seattle's Capital Hill area. It was a beautiful example of the Arts and Crafts architectural style. The B&B as a whole and our room were warmly decorated, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower. We had a couple of pretty hot days during our stay, but the combination of... More

Nice B&B in a great location and in a good neighborhood. John does a great job as a host, breakfasts are continental, but well done. Location is great for walking downtown, and also nearby restaurants (hit Monsoon if you like Asian - it was the best out of a bunch of great restaurants on our trip). It's a neat, converted... More

I have stayed at Foxglove many times in the past three years. Honestly, I have lost tracks of exactly of many times that I have stayed at Foxglove since my first visit in November, 2011. Over the years, I had stayed in other B&B's on Capitol Hill in Seattle when Foxglove was fully booked. Foxglove has always stayed on top... More

This B & B is amazing. First, the house - a wonderfully restored Craftsman furnished with exquisite furnishings and accessories. I love Craftsman houses, and this one is breathtaking. I was amazed by the work involved - a photo album on the coffee table shows the house pre-renovation, and that must have been some project. The house also has lovely,... More

This was our second time staying here. We stayed for 4 nights and loved it. This is a wonderful Arts & Crafts house with fabulous period furniture. The location is excellent with lots of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. We took the bus downtown and it is close by and very easy. We walked to Volunteer Park from... More
