For out of town folks who are having medical treatments at Virginia Mason Hospital, the Baroness Inn is directly adjacent to this facility (right across the street from the Surgery Center), and offers comfortable accomodations at a reasonable price. It was built in 1931, and has been kept in good condition; we appreciated having a suite with a kitchen &... More

We arrived at the Baroness to stay because my husband had a clinic appt. at Virginia Mason. The closest parking is an open lot behind the hotel, no attendant and $24 for 24 hors, no ins or outs. My husband is in a wheelchair and I pushed him and our suitcases around the corner to the main entrance where we... More

Stayed here for almost two weeks in August 2014. I was working at the University of Washington and I needed a place for a longer term stay. The hotel is older, but certainly not run down. The rooms are relatively basic, but I didn`t find that it was lacking for anything during my stay. The room was always cleaned when... More

Booked a room at the recommendation of staff at Virginia Mason Hospital. Stayed night before surgery and planned on doing recovery here. However, the place is SHAMBOLIC! We canceled the rest of our stay after one night. So horrid that after years of using Trip Advisor I felt the need to send in a review. Shame on Virginia Mason and... More

The rooms are OK. When I came back in the afternoon the maid had not cleaned my room and it was 2:30pm. Had to tell front desk. They have old fashioned keys for the doors. It's across street from Virginia Mason Hospital. It's close to some eating places and bars. There is no restaurant. since it's on top of a... More

We have stayed at the Baroness on and off for more than 20 years when coming to Seattle for medical procedures. Great location for Virginia Mason (who now owns it) or Swedish. They have an very good "medical" rate that one needs to ask for, and are flexible and friendly. Other reviews have mentioned the vintage style of the building... More

This hotel, while basic and lacking frills all around (including no AC which was noticeable in August) has a style and vintage flair that will bring me back for another stay :) The location is great - nice 15-20 min walk to the waterfront including some awesome ate-double-dessert steep hills to and from downtown. Simple rooms come with an unexpected... More

Spent 4 days here for a conference, Location was close to everywhere downtown. ( just a side note there are steep hills everywhere in Seattle) I had a top floor room with two twin beds. Beds were comfy and clean. Large walk in closet to hang suits, jackets, etc, although missing an ironing board. Elevator was a little slow but... More

Hi Traveler - Thank you for your review. It's nice to hear we worked for your convention stay. The walk to the convention center is very manageable (not too steep) but yes, a cab from the light rail station when hauling luggage is a must! Please come back and stay with us again when your travels bring you back to... More

This was or second time staying at The Baroness, and we still think it is great! Is it fancy? No. Is it new? No... but it is friendly, inexpensive, clean and quiet - despite being across from the hospital. Check in was easy and quick. The room does not have temperature control settings, but the windows were open and there... More

My stay at Baroness Hotel was one of the worse experience. First of all, the front desk staff was very reactive. He gave me the room key at check in, and that was all his service for me. I have to ask him everything else, such as the wifi password, the location of elevator, breakfast included or not, free city... More
