Great location!! Simply get off light rail and head uphill! I am an owner of a traditional B&B and I am always honored when I get a chance to meet another innkeeper! Beware of this innkeeper ....he makes amazing croissants ...I had three! They have a pool and a back deck with a view of the city skyline.

On a civil street St. in the very vibrant, eclectic and diverse Capitol Hill neighborhood, sits this gem of a B&B. The property is meticulously kept, the well appointed rooms are large, comfortable and spotlessly clean with fresh, plush towels changed daily. Our inn keeper, Mary, was very accomodating and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Breakfast is simple but... More

The Gaslight Inn was probably one of the best places I've stayed in a long time. The Inn itself was spectacular! We stayed in Room 105 with the balcony and the view and the room were both really nice. The outdoor garden area is really nice and relaxing. Every day and nice young man (I didn't get his name) came... More

A beautiful home in a trendy neighborhood. My stay here was much too brief! The owner, Bennett, was most accommodating, and also directed me to my favorite culinary experience of my trip. The highlight of my stay here was gathering for his European style breakfast and chatting with the other guests....the morning conversations were always stimulating! Look forward to my... More

Our original reservation wasn't for the Gaslight. But the place where we'd intended to stay had overbooked, so we were perforce shunted here. And we don't regret it at all: A lovely, characterful place, with a fantastic breakfast and friendly staff, headed by Bennet's ministrations. If and when we ever rerurn to Seattle, this is where we'll stay.

Bennett made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. He was very attentive and looked after all our needs and those of other travellers staying in the hotel. The breakfast was great, as was the pool area and the whole front of house. The shower was a bit mysterious in that it moved from cold to hot in... More

This was my 3rd visit to the Gaslight Inn. Everything about this historic home is so perfect. Although the home is very old (late 1800's?), it's like walking in a time machine to when the home was new. Everything is in perfect condition. This home has a great collection of antiques and art. Every room is unique, all are amazing.... More

I cannot say enough positive things about the Gaslight Inn. My stay was one of the best experiences I have had in my life (and I've traveled a fair bit) From the very first interaction I had with the the Inn keeper, Bennett prior to making my reservation to checking out, everything was exactly the kind of interaction they should... My husband and I just spent two days at the Gaslight Inn and were charmed by the Craftsman furnishings and period details; plenty of gathering spots for meeting new people or corner chairs for reading. Fireplace at night. Bennett made us feel welcomed and appreciated; his breakfast room was a gem with coffee and tea, fresh fruit, croissants, pastries, cheese,... More

Hi, Kristiana! Thank you for staying with us and for writing such a nice review. The Craftsman homes are so pleasantly prevalent on Capitol Hill and we're happy you were charmed with the Gaslight. Our dog, Augie, sends his love. More

We recently spent three nights at the distinctive Gaslight Inn. The Innkeeper, Bennett, was friendly and informative. We have stayed at several other Seattle B&B, and rate this one well. Our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast offerings included a buffet of coffee, juice, warm croissants, yogurt, cheese and fruit.
