It's an older building, but a more artistic and aesthetically pleasing hotel you won't find in Seattle. Just one for instance, on the outside of every room door is a floor to ceiling photo. Each floor has it's own theme. more

My wife and I spent a weekend at Hotel Max and felt it was a very good value for Seattle but a less than comfortable stay. The hotel is funky in a cold, dark ,hard-surfaced way. The decor has a rock-star orientation that doesn't invite one to linger. Rooms are minimalist; small but adequate. Bathrooms are among the smallest we've encountered... more

I hate this hotel. I've stayed at lots of Seattle hotels and this is one of my least favorite. The rooms are tiny and the showers are even tinier. There was some kind of air handling or hvac "thing" outside the window that sounded like a semi truck was outside my room. I don't know what air it was handling... more

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Max for one night on a quick trip from Portland to see a particular exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum. After checking out of the hotel and spending a few hours at the SAM, I realized I had inadvertently thrown away our return train tickets. I called the hotel and was told the... more

The Hotel Max is a great place to stay for either business, or pleasure. I finally have decided to say something about this little "Gem" of a hotel as I stay here averagely 15 to 20 times a year for work. From the outset, this is a the cute, stylistic, central and convenient hotel when need to be in the... more

I always look for a boutique hotel to stay in when I travel. When I first arrived I had to wait over half an hour to just check in. Then when I got to the room it was tiny, once my wife and I put our bags down we had to jump over them to reach the other side of... more

The hotel was was nothing but conventient and affordable. Just down the street from all the downtown shopping, dining and attractions such as the space needle, pikes place market and some shopping malls. The service at the hotel was verry efficient and friendly. The food at the sushi bar was very memorable. The only down side are the small rooms... more

I visit Seattle on a regular basis and have stayed in many of the downtown hotels. If I'm on the expense account, there are a lot of splurge hotels available. If I'm footing the bill then the Hotel Max frequently fills the bill for me perfectly. Hotel Max is a rehab of a vintage Seattle hotel. The rooms are tiny.... more

Only one night at the hotel. The rooms are small, but very comfortable. Sleepover before catching a cruise the next day. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also a bar/restaurant on the main floor which has great food and drinks. I would stay there again if my travels took me there. more

I have to say that reading reviews, always make me nervous. Most reviews are not objective or people give low ratings, due to one bad incident. So, I am going to try to be as objective as possible, so any readers looking to stay here, can make an educate decision and feel comfortable about it. The worst thing is to... more
