Right in the middle of downtown Seattle, Washington; the Hotel Max's low-key design leads you to think business, but what we're really about is ART! ART! ART! The whole place is designed as a foil for both emerging and established artists & photographers in town. Each floor takes you on a journey through a different photographer's eye. more » « less

I am torn on my review of the Max. First, they did a great job remodeling what was a former hotel in dire need of a facelift. I don't think they made the rooms smaller to make just a little more $$ every night, but I do think the Max is the poster child for overpriced, slightly pretentious, minimalist, boutique... more

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hotel Max in Downtown Seattle and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was our first “Romantic Weekend” in over 20 years so needless to say, our hopes and expectations were very high. We weren’t disappointed. The Hotel is convenient to many downtown attractions, restaurants and shops and the staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating.... more

I made the mistake of booking a room at Hotel Max for 10 days. I should have gone with another hotel. 10 days was too long. The Hotel Max is good for a 1 or 2 night stay. It's funky and in a good location. The service is good and the attached restaurant is also very good. The rooms are... more

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your recent review regarding your visit to the Hotel Max. I am pleased to hear that the staff was accomodating and that you generally enjoyed your visit. We certainly have options that help to make a lengthy visit more comfortable. From larger rooms to same day dry cleaning, from room service to our...

The hotel was clean and conveniently located within four or so blocks of the convention center. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows (and pillow choices). As a single woman traveling alone, the hotel felt very safe. The bellmen were helpful with luggage, etc. A Seattle Times was provided every morning at my door. The rooms were... more

My husband and I spent one night at the Hotel Max this past week during a long-weekend-getaway to Seattle, and now, I'm terribly afraid we will never, ever be able to stay at another hotel EVER without feeling longing for "The Max." From the endearingly welcoming response to my reservation email from manager Chris Bebo, the "Max Daddy", to the... more

Could the rooms be bigger? Yes. Could their be a small restuarant on site? Yes. Was the staff most receptive? Absolutely. I travel a lot and tend to rate my hotels by the staff first, and this staff was overwhelmingly accomodating. They are there to help as much as possible. Would be nice to have internet included, but their business... more

We stay in hotels for a variety of reasons, but the bottom line is we all want a good nights' sleep. That you will get at the Hotel Max. They have THE MOST comfortable beds of any hotel I have ever stayed at, along with a variety of pillow of varying hardness if you desire . In addition, the rooms... more

I think the hotel is over priced and well not really that great. The location is pretty good and the rooms clean, they give that little funk appeal but soooo small. I really would rather stay at Hotel 1000 or the W for pretty much the same price. I would stay again only if rate were much less. I will... more

"I have never had anyone work so quickly and effortlessly to make sure my needs were met." I am a frequent guest of the Hotel DeLuxe in Portland and thoroughly enjoy it. So when my business travels extended recently into Seattle, it seemed only natural to stay at the Hotel Max. I was pleased and thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay.... more

We recently stayed at Hotel Max on the end of an Alaskan cruise. I prebooked/payed for the hotel after doing lots of research online. I wanted a hotel that was convientaly located and not terribly expensive, while also having some character. Max was all of those things. We went to drop off our bags early in the morning right when... more
