Stayed at the Sorrento last year and I am FINALLY getting around to writing this review as I am due to return in November. My main reason for the return is the OUTSTANDING service of John the concierge. This guy was soooooo good that my girlfriend and I felt like we had our own personal butler. Everything about the Sorrento... More

The Sorrento was built in the early 1900s and has been updated, yet retains historic touches like a wee single elevator, marble-covered bathrooms, original bathtub and sink, and a floor full of hills and valleys! If you're looking for a cookie-cutter experience, this isn't for you. But if you enjoy history, charm, and elegance, with friendly and helpful staff, this... More

I chose Sorrento for convenience of the location. The service is great, everyone is so nice, there are really nice touches like complimentary fresh cherries in the morning and ice cream late at night. The beds and pillows are high end, very comfortable. The room and bathroom clean. However, it has shabby feel. Not like in shabby chic, but like... More

This hotel is located in a nice quite place in Seattle, not far from Downtown. The hotel building looks like historic from the outside, but the interior is very nice. We booked our room from Hotwire.com, which didn't specific the type of room, and we requested a double bed room. The staff was very helpful and managed to give us... More

Since we last stayed here in the winter, the price of the rooms has gone up significantly. However, the service and attention is still excellent. They also have some new perks for adults and kids. The single, small, slow elevator remains a problem. Also the restaurant has converted half of the valet circle into an outdoor dining area and this... More

Had a lovely stay at The Sorrento. My family stayed in a suite which was just big enough for us. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, but the pull out sofa had a very old, lumpy, and uncomfortable mattress (my biggest reason for giving the hotel 4 stars rather than 5). The bathroom is on the smaller size but really,... More

Desperately needs a refresh. The place has a musty dusty smell. The rugs appear to be 30 years old. At any rate they contain 30 year old dust. Not particularly well situated either. However the staff are friendly, and it is clean.

This is a wonderful hotel. We had a corner suite for a long weekend and it was fantastic. The staff is amazing and they seem to really care about their guests. The rooms are very, very nice and quite peaceful. We had a great time in Seattle and the Sorrento and the fantastic staff really set the tone for a... More

I stayed as a guest at the Sorrento for 6 weeks. I had only planned for 5 days, but on the 2nd day, I asked if I could spend the rest of my time in Seattle at their hotel. (Previously, I had visited several of the downtown hotels). The hotel is beautiful. When I cozied up in the Fireside Room... More

Absolutely beautiful, old hotel. Located right by Virginia Mason and not far from downtown. Staff are all incredibly charming, attentive and helpful. Hunt club is beautiful and has fantastic food. The breakfast shakes are amazing! During the summer there's an outdoor dining area on the front patio. Lobby is elegant and great for meeting up for drinks. Lighting in the... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to submit such a nice review! I have shared your comments with our "attentive" staff and they want to send their sincere gratitude. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our new Al Fresco dining in our Courtyard. Though we in Seattle will sit in traffic, when the sun comes out.... More
