The Sorrento is a lovely bit of Seattle history, one of those gorgeous dowagers with good bones who ages well. The place is well kept, and though the bathroom was beautifully updated, the place hasn't been modernized out of recognition. Windows actually open. It's comfortable bordering on opulent without being over the top, attractively decorated, and the service is impeccable.... More

Things were perfect ... the staff was helpful and friendly ... it is a great place to stay ... the rooms were cleaned daily ... with fresh soap and toiletries every morning ... it actually lacked nothing ..

The hotel is beautiful! There are good and bad, but the history of the place is exquisite! It's old, creaky and noisy but the elegance and ambience is top notch. I had surgery across the street and didn't want to have to drive back to the eastside right after so decided to stay at the hotel in the Sorrento Suite... More

This century old property has been well maintained, and the bathrooms have been modernized in a way that fits with the original styling. The public areas have beautiful woodwork, giving the hotel a warm atmosphere. We had dinner in the dining room, and found the food to be very good. The hotel staff is friendly and welcoming.

In 2012 I wrote a great review.."Lovely old World Charm"..look it up. Appears things have changed! Before Christmas a friend and I decided to drive from North Seattle to enjoy the lounge for a snack..tea or cocktail. The hostess was rude and firm because we had not made a reservation for high tea. No way could we have a table... More

I never write reviews but this hotel was so great I decided to write a review. It is an older hotel but very charming and well maintained. To my surprise, they offer a car service through the concierge. It made my trip so easy getting a ride downtown and to dinner was so nice for my daughter and I. The... More

We stayed at the Sorrento in November for Thanksgiving and enjoyed this beautiful property! We are locals and have stayed many times over the years and always enjoy the charm and elegance. The hotel is a historic hotel and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and the room was well appointed. I love the white marble bathrooms. My favorite room... More

The Sorrento still feels like a blast from the past - in a good way. Friendly greetings by every employee you meet and they take the time to say something besides just hello. The place is dark and cozy but you really notice the beautiful wood and comfy seating as soon as you walk in. The rooms have been updated... More

The fact i stayed here 10 months ago but decided to write a review now, shows how much this place stuck in my mind. It is an old hotel, if you want a modern flashy sparkling place, don't stay here and then leave a bad review - it's age is all part of it's character The car service into the... More

This hotel has the most fabulous bedding and towels! And aside from that, a very good restaurant and fireside lounge to relax in, as well as an outstanding friendly and helpful staff. The location is quite good, and as long as you appreciate old buildings with character and charm, you can't be disappointed. It's expensive, so probably won't suit for... More
