I'm crazy about this hotel. It's rare to have a freestanding boutique hotel perched on its own ledge on the hill steps from the thick of it on downtown Seattle. This wedged shaped hotel dazzles in small intimate ways. From its speakeasy happy hour in the plush, upholstered lobby, to its chatty free shuttle to various neighborhoods of Seattle. The... More

Stayed six nights with great expectations of this hotel a Seattle landmark ? I felt confident booking this as I thought it to be a safe bet. I was sadly disappointed ! The lobby is so dark and dingy as is the tired lounge. The bar and restaurant same - dreary and tired , I didn't mind that SO much-... More

Hubby and I stayed here for one Saturday night. We have stayed at the Fairmont Olympic, the Four Seasons and the Salish in the past 8 months. We like both new and "old" hotels with history and character. First, I was disappointed to see they removed the Italian fountain and circular drive and renovated the fireside lounge. The addition of... More

Beds are wonderful. Never slept so good came home and ordered same pacific coast feather pillows for my bed. Love the dark wood old vibe of the place. It is up the hill from all the action which i find kind of nice to be away from the hordes when i choose to be . Has only valet parking no... More

Very fancy place, although not to my taste. Room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Service was fine. I have very little experience with high-end hotels, but it was expensive. I have never experienced valet parking, but it was okay. Location and views were not great, but a few restaurants were easily within walking distance.

i visited this hotel in the past for social events but never spent the night. I booked a night for my 16th wedding anniversary for my wife and I. The reservation process was outstanding. After some small communications errors regarding additional items for the room I was offered an upgrade to a corner suite at no charge. Very good can... More

We went to Seattle for Christmas to visit our son and selected this hotel for our stay. The rooms were very well appointed and spacious. The Fireside Room / bar was very elegant and the ambiance seemed to be very inviting The management of this establishment however is a different matter. People from surrounding offices came to the hotel bar... More

In a time of corporate hotels, the Sorrento stays true to its roots and the area. My wife and I have stayed here over 20 times and will always come back. The beds are incredible and the rooms are all unique and cosy. There are sounds from other rooms you could expect in an older hotel (over 100 years old).... More

My company held our weeklong training here in December as well as our Christmas party. The rooms help hints of years past with beautiful furniture and appointments. The large room and simplistic yet elegantly decorated bathroom were a pleasure to experience for the week I was there. The sleeping conditions were fantastic including the all important bed. The coffee service... More

We stayed here for 5 nights and overall had a very enjoyable stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, easy walk to Capitol Hill and Downtown Seattle. Yes it's an uphill walk from Downtown but it's really not an issue! The staff were superb. The one minor issue we had to raise was well dealt with. The bar is... More
