People are very friendly; bathrooms near -check-in for an old guy like me; nice walk to Space Needle/Climate Pledge Arena, etc, NO ELevator so if you're handicapped might want to ask for help; I didn't because he was busy but next time I will as I had to make 2 trips up the stairs and to my room....nice little kitchen, nice room temperature settings, over bed fan, and great location near Dick's Burgers, a few taverns/bars/eating establishments/CVS across the street, etc.

We were very disappointed with our stay. The pictures on the web site are not indicative of the deplorable condition of the room. The bathroom tub was rusty and stained and there was no enclosure or curtain so it was not able to be used. The furnace was noisy. We were told at the time of check-in that the water would be turned off the following day for 5-6 hours. This was obviously due to renovations going on in the building but I should have been notified ahead of my stay. I would have stayed elsewhere. We also didn't know there wasn't an elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor with many steps.

This place is picturesque and interesting with a fascinating history. It is a great location for walking to the arena, space needle, imax theatre, great restaurants, and has a cute coffee shop accessible from the first floor. The rooms are spacious and like a small apartment with kitchen, kitchen table, seating area and spacious beds. We were on the ground level and even the street was outside the quality of the windows made for a silent sleep.

The MarQueen never fails! From the moment you walk in the door, until you depart, the visit is wonderful. Our late arrival was greeted warmly. Our room was welcoming and waiting. And our departure in the morning was made easy by the wonderful valet parking.

This was my second time at this quirky, but utterly wonderful establishment. Let me start by saying it's not for everyone. If you are used to chain, full-service or luxury hotels and that's all you like, this ain't for you. If, on the other hand, you want a clean, well located, friendly (shout-out to Tristan and Earnest), charming, historical place with a super huge room that has an eat-in kitchen (sans stove), a sitting area, a comfy bed and, in my case, a view, you can't do any better. I'm still scratching my head over people saying it was overpriced. My stay averaged about $135 a night, and that included all taxes and fees, so kudos to anyone who can do better than that in a central Seattle location. It is located just north of Seattle Center where the Space Needle and Climate Pledge Arena are. And if you walk out the door and turn right, you're staring right up Queen Anne Hill. There's a CVS across the street, a spectacular supermarket down the block and restaurants galore that are walkable. I found it easy to use it as a base to go pretty much everywhere. Either walking or on the bus. I took the light rail (Link) from SeaTac to Westlake Station for $3 and walked the rest of the way. It was perfectly suited for my stay and I would not hesitate to stay there a third time.

Used to be so lovely. Just run- down now. I was offered room on 3rd floor but chose to switch to 1st to avoid stairs. (maybe 3rd floor room would've been better) Room was large but so run down. Furnace & fridge so loud was hard to sleep .Kitchen had cheap minimal supplies. Front desk said they are renovating - hope it brings hotel back to its previous quality.

Excellent service! Great view of the Space Needle. Convenient location for restaurants, coffee shops, City Center, transportation. No elevator, but staff will carry bags. Shower was a little older, but the huge room and comfy bed made up for that. Loved it!

Easy walking distance to Climate Pledge Arena and Seattle Center. Valet parking makes for a smooth arrival. Older property, huge rooms with hardwood floors and kitchen (refrigerator / glasses / dishes / utensils) including eating area. It could stand to be updated a bit, but the location offsets the lack of high end furnishings. I think this is a 3 story hotel, with no elevators. Lots of places to eat nearby ranging from fast food to fine dining.

Our family stayed here after a cruise in June. It's a short drive from the port and close to a few place to visit. We arrived way before check in time, the staff held luggage so we could visit places. Staff was friendly and helped. Older building but nice. Rooms were big and clean.

The building was very cool and had a great history. The staff was very friendly and helpful with questions and recommendations. The room we had, had a very old scent to it, stagnant and old smelling. The bed was very uncomfortable and could use updating. The room itself was large but hasn’t been updated in probably a 2-3 decades. We attempted to open the windows but they are all closed off so there was zero airflow through out the room. The bathroom, which probably hasn’t been updated since the 30’s, had very poor water pressure and the temperature never got past Luke warm at best. The valet service attendant was very polite and knowledgeable about the area and extremely helpful with helping us find parking because our vehicle was too big to fit in the hotel garage. Overall we would not stay there again but it was definitely an experience.
