We knew the place had a history before we arrived, which helped a great deal. The staff were very friendly, allowing us to check bags with him before official "check-in" time. The late night guy even went down to the restaurant/bar to get us two ginger ales when we found the soda machine didn't work. The cleaning crew are very... More

Yeah so this hotel is downtown and that's about the only good thing I can say about it. Moldy carpet, no internet, flimsy doors, no screens on windows, hair in bed, creepy employees, and needs major renovation work. Stay away, far away.

Great downtown location. Very old with a need for some investment in the building, furnishings, carpet - everything. Have stayed here before because it is low priced and very convenient to where I need to be. Would not suggest it for a family with children or more than a 2 day visit. The shower is an adventure - the water... More

We wanted a low cost hotel in walking distance of downtown and Pikes Market and hotel Seattle was the only one to fit the bill. From the reviews we knew it was run down, but all we wanted was a clean bed.

This is an old hotel that has been well taken care of. It's location is right in the thick of things, so you're within walking distance of many things to see in Seattle. The bus and trolley stops are right around the corner too. The staff was the best - so friendly and most helpful. However, if you're handicapped it... More

Location was the only thing good about this hotel. I was hoping for a unique experience but this tops my list of horrible. No ice, no clean towels, no maid service, no air conditioning. Windows were opened to ventilate however there are no screens making it unsafe for toddlers in the room. Wall paper and paint peeling, sink came off... More

When looking for cheaper accommodation do your homework! Close to football stadium and if looking for place to sleep only this is possibly a good choice. TV only had two channels and when inquiring at desk they said they would fix it and never showed. Light did not work in bathroom. Elevator out of service for 3 hrs or so.... More

I just got back from PAX and stayed at Hotel Seattle for 4 nights. I think we found our new hotel to stay at every time we come to Seattle. Most of the reviews coming out about this hotel are negative. I can sorta see why, but I do not agree with these reviews. Yes this hotel is old, yes... More

We were here for PAX, and the hotel is about 4.5 blocks away. It is however less than one block from Light rail, which is great since we took the train in. Our room was extremely clean, the staff was amazingly nice, and the hotel was convenient for what we needed to do. The only con was the random heat... More

Excellent location, clean, and safe. Absolutely no frills. Around the corner from everything business, academic, artistic, and culinary. Also down the street from upscale shopping (not my thing). one block from commuter train to/from airport.
