We stayed at the Monaco late last December. When I called to make the reservation I casually mentioned to the central booking agent that it was our anniversary. Honestly, I didn't do this to curry favor. When we arrived the receptionist mentioned our anniversary and gave us a room upgrade. It was unexpected and delightful as well. It was a... More

Thanks for your note! Reminds me of the old margarine commercial where someone bites into a sandwich and a crown appears! Our goal is to have every guest walk out of here feeling like that was the best hotel experience they have had in a long time. Great to read that we hit the mark with you! More

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Monaco Seattle. The location was perfect. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The decor of our room gave it a very homey feel. Loved siting in the lobby in the morning by the window and watch the city wake up. The restaurant was very good... More

I think our location is one of our strengths, guests staying with us can walk to almost every important aspect of the city of Seattle, but also not face those crazy Seattle hills. We are on the right side of the freeway and even close enough to the stadium to cheer on the M's! thanks for the note! More

My business trip to Seattle felt a little like being at a friend's house because of the warm, homey atmosphere at the Hotel Monaco. My other co-workers stayed across the street at the W and were turned off by the corporate feel and dark, cold surroundings there. I had free internet (thanks to becoming and on the spot Kimpton rewards... More

I stayed at Hotel Monaco while on business. The property was located not to far from my office and close to the downtown shopping area , famous pike place market and restaurants. The staff was very kind and helpful. Room service was fast, the food was hot and good. Also, the restaurant in the hotel is amazing! The rooms are... More

Good, not great. Hotel has a circus-like feel. Can walk to lots of restaurants, attractions, and coffee shops! The staff is helpful and friendly. The gym is really small - only has one treadmill. The afternoon wine hour is a nice touch. More

I must say, the Hotel Monaco struck me as a bit odd. I've never been to a hotel where colorful nature murals adorn vaulted ceilings in the lobby. The whole place feels a bit plastic and out of place. That said, the staff was very helpful and the hotel had some nice amenities that give it a nice touch. If... More

We were greeted by the most friendly receptionist I have ever encountered. She was very helpful and efficient. Our kids loved the pet goldfish in our room. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant was great too and we looked forward to our breakfast every morning. The location is handy to the attractions of Seattle. We took the bus... More

glad to read that we made your kids smile, where else can you get a goldfish in your room! We have a strong policy with owners and their dogs, while we are delighted to see them, we also require a contact number at all times to deal with any sort of issue or noise. No pet should ever be left... More

This hotel wasn't my preference but it was the closest I could find near the location I was at. It had snowed in Seattle and I was looking for a hotel near work and this is what I found. Check in was good-front desk agent gave me the "snow" rate which was great. Good to save money when you have... More

you are so right! Service has to be the reason for a hotel to exist. The agent you were dealing with had been working a double shift due to the snow fall we were a little short staffed ( I couldnt even get there!) but still she should have been focused on your needs. We are at the start of... More

Over the New Year's holiday, we enjoyed our first two-night stay at the Hotel Monaco. We frequently travel in North America and Europe and often to Seattle but had never stayed there. They pay attention to the guest in so many ways: examples: the personal email reservation confirmation, genuine care, pleasant conversation and excellent service from all: front desk staff,... More

This is an wonderful hotel and an excellent value. There are many charming aspects to the hotel, as other reviewer note. But the best thing was the service. Everyone here was extraorinarily helpful; they really went the extra mile to make our trip enjoyable! More
