Stayed for one night while travelling through France. Accommodation provided at short notice through Office de Tourisme in Provins. Given room at rear of property on 1st floor which whilst large was plain, cheaply furnished and had very little in terms of soap/shampoo or any of the usual finishing touches that make chambre d'hote different and frequently a joy to... Well-placed inside the old town walls. The farm provides off-street parking. Our room was large and plainly furnished. Room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfortable. We weren't disappointed as we were made to feel very welcome - by Monsieur, Madame; their daughter and cats. The breakfast was DIY but owner prides himself on choice of jams (Bonne Maman or home-made), to go with excellent fresh baguettes or toast. Very peaceful and our room had nice view of garden. Just our kind of place

The accommodation is basic and feels a bit old fashioned, based in an annexe at a working farm. It is only a short walk into the centre of Provins or to the ramparts. There is plenty of space for parking at the rear of the building. The farmer owner is very friendly, although speaks very little English, and we were... More
