Stayed two nights. Switched from shared bath to private bath arrangement on arrival with no difficulty. Managed to see three rooms while doing so. One quite roomy (with bath), one quite tight (with bath), one postage stamp size (w/o bath). Atmospheric, as announced. The 19th Century ever present, though the girls have left. Floors creaky, yes, movements of neighbors audible,... more

Trying to slip in late (or early) and not be heard just won't work, as the creaks echo throughout the upstairs hallways. The downstairs bar/restaurant is open a few nights, and the crowd in the garden gets lively too. Surely the previous tenants, the "ladies of the night" didn't fuss, and if you can sleep through noise, you'll enjoy this... more

A courtesy bus picked us up from the Ferry Terminal. Room was clean, bathrooms down the passage way were clean. Breakfast in the dining room was excellent. This was a homely and peaceful place to spend a couple of nights. more

Our family, including a tween and teen enjoyed this unique and historic place in Skagway. We stayed twice, in two different rooms that fit our family of four. My teenager loved the room with the added porch room that looked right out to the street. We stayed during the Olympics so evenings had many guests and the owners around the... more

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Skagway Inn. I chose it because I had worked there during one summer 30 years ago and wanted to see the place again. The current staff are wonderful...friendly, helpful, and gave us good advice about the area. The rooms, as I remembered, are not fancy but each has it's own personality....named... more

Staying at the Inn was kind of like staying at your grandma's house: she lets you walk in and out as you please and its clean and inviting, but you feel like she hears every step. The place is creaky, from the floor to the bed. I know that comes with the history, and the rooms are very cute indeed.... more

The Skagway Inn is a part of the history of the town. When it was built in 1897 it was home to ladies of the evening. The owners have done research and each room has a name of a woman who worked there. Over the years I have stayed in four different rooms in the inn. Each has it's own... more

The Inn was not quite what we expected. Stayed June 2005. No one there to greet us upon arrival (phone at front desk to dial for assistance, but no one answered) -actually only ran into the hosts once briefly one evening and at breakfast. Didn't ask how our stay was. The room was large and clean, furnished with some antiques:... more

Thank you for your comments. If I didn't know what was wrong, I wouldn't know what to fix. (I also added comment cards in each room.) I'm sorry that I seemed absent. I do get very busy, and am sometimes down the street. Last season we purchased lots of white fluffy towels, and little soaps. I've also added a "needs...
