If you're going on a cruise to Alaska and are considering an excursion that includes a stop at the Historic Skagway Inn, take a tour that does NOT come with food. In fact this applies to all the tours that has food. So far none of the tours we took on Princess that came with "hot meal" were edible. You'd... More

We visited Skagway in late August with business guests from Whitehorse, Yukon We had booked two rooms for two nights and paid the full deposit in early June. The weather turned south on our trip and we ended up staying only one night. On checking out, I spoke to the manager, Karl Klupar and asked about a possible refund for... More

The Historic Skagway Inn has taken the 1890s brothel theme and worked it throughout the place. It creates a sense of the times with a fun approach to telling the story. Our room was small (as they were then) and had a private toilet and plenty of objects on display that were reminders of times gone by. The displays did... More

I got in to Skagway somewhat late in the evening and accidentally stumbled upon this wonderful hotel. The staff was warm and helpful and decor was charming. I stayed in the 'Grace' room, which was the perfect size for a single traveler. The bed was roomy and it was quiet enough for me to sleep like a log. I truly... More

I stay at the Historic Skagway Inn whenever I can in Skagway. Each room is a treasure, quaint, funky antiques and left overs of the gold rush era. You can choose a room based on size, beds, bathrooms. Several rooms are large enough to fit a whole family. A wonderful breakfast and strong coffee in the morning. Karl and Rosemary... More

What a wonderful place to stay! We arrived by ferry and Jenny was there waiting to pick us up and get us settled into the Historic Skagway Inn. I was traveling with two of my sisters and we stayed in "Flo", a huge room with a queen sized bed (I think) and two twins plus a large bathroom. Decorated in... More

This B&B turned out to be a gem. From the authentic historical decorating to the rooms named after the former "ladies" of the brothel, it was a treat to stay at. The inn-keepers were so friendly and helpful, with the lady going out of her way to help me when I had to make a call home to Canada because... More

We arrived by ferry and had a great experience at the Historic Skagway Inn. Great location in town for walking to shops and restaurants. Historical brothel decor made for a fun atmosphere. Room was large, clean and quiet, with private bath. Breakfast was great. The innkeeper and other staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Arrived by ferry, very prompt pickup service and friendly staff. You do feel like you have stepped back in time, which was one of the reasons for selecting the hotel. Location at the far end of town was ok in relation to getting around town The breakfast provisions were limited if you just wanted continental. Yes the rooms are small,... More

A friend and I hiked the Chilkoot and stayed here the night before we set out. We stayed in Dottie's room - two very comfy twin beds and a private bathroom. It was fun to be warm and dry and someplace with some character and history before the hike. The owners took us by van to the trailhead the next... More
