We did not stay at this B&B but we were served lunch in the dining room of this inn. The owner was our chef and the food we had was delicious and different from anything we have ever had. We started with either a salad with greens fresh from his garden or clam chowder (I had salad), and a choice... More

I totally enjoyed the atmosphere. Many of the historic items seen all over the inn were interesting as I like the past and all it implies. The breakfast room was interesting with a beautiful player piano, I have only heard about. The breakfast was great with the baked eggs bacon and home fries. The owner Karl was extremely kind to... My sister and I recent stayed and were very impressed with the service provided. Whilst enroute to Skagway we received a call from the hotel advising of a road closure - having this information enabled us to reroute our road plans so we could get to Skagway and not miss our 'date' with the Chilcoot Trail. The brekkie in the... More

We just had a 5 night stay at the Historic Skagway Inn and the experience was very good. The room was cozy, clean and the bed very comfortable. Wifi throughout was a plus so I could squeeze in a little work. The breakfast was simple and enough to get going for the day, nice little view of the garden from... More

I've been staying at the Skagway Inn since 1997 and have lost count of the number of times I've been a guest. I keep coming back because the service is excellent, the hosts warm and inviting and the food is fantastic. I love the historic decor and the unique layout of the house. I've stayed in several of the rooms,... More

This location is unbeatable, being a little bit back from the cruise ship docks but still right on Broadway. The place was built in 1897 and the owners have put considerble effort into keeping it's historic features intact. The breakfast area was nice, and the piano was nicely tuned and available for guests to play, which we did! Would defintely... More

Alaskan gold rush history and B&B comfort combined into one quirky, comfortable and tasty experience in my visit to the Skagway Inn. The innkeepers were personable and genuinely nice. The staff was young, energetic and helpful. The food in the dining room at breakfast, and Olivia's restaurant for lunch and dinner was both tasty and authentically Alaskan. I was lucky... More

Built in 1897- and the lobby looks like it. Could it use a deep cleaning? Yes. However, more modern small bar and dining room as well as garden seating. Perfect for a sunny and warm day. Great rhubarb cobbler and a big cup of joe and time to watch the other tourists on the boardwalk. Fruit and veggies are sourced... More

I was very excited to be able to book a room at the inn on a short notice, but excitement quickly evaporated once we entered the building. The small lobby had an overpowering odor, I don't know if it was a musty smell of an old building or cat urine. The area around the front desk was cluttered and visibly... More

My parents once bought a large Victorian house with original furniture and several friends suggested they left it as it was and open as a themed hotel. They never did, but this is what the Historic Skagway Inn has done to great effect. The hotel stands on possibly the most historic street in the Alaskan pan handle, but just far... More
