We had a room by the back alley it was hot! noisy! And super small!! The view of building next to us was not the garden. Breakfast was not great and always out of coffee and sugar. It was 3 bad nights for us. Every evening we would hear loud intoxicated people coming down the alley. Sorry I won't be... More

We stayed at the Historic Skagway Inn before and after our 5-day hike of the Chilkoot Trail. The hotel and its service/amenities were awesome! We were picked up at the airport by the hotel and driven to the beautiful Inn, ideally located in the heat of Skagway. The hotel is a well-kept, extremely comfortable historic building on Skagway's main street.... More

We ate here and had King crab with the halibut chowder. It was all fantastic. It was quiet, friendly lunch spot. The staff was very friendly and told us a lot about their life in Alaska. They had a beautiful garden and very clean dining room. My favorite eating spot on our honeymoon!

Our stay at Historic Skagway Inn was nice. The owner was helpful and friendly, the place has a laid back feel. Our breakfast was very good in the restaurant. It's included and I liked the bacon! We stayed in the room with the balcony overlooking Broadway. It was spacious and kitschy. Skagway and Haines down the ocean a bit, are... More

Stopped in for lunch when our cruise ship The Disney Wonder was in Skagway. Received a warm welcome, great service ( our waiter Vinny was very friendly ) and really delicious food. I had the Alaskan King Crab which was well presented and generous in its serving size. A lovely venue for a quintessentially Alaskan lunch.

We had a room with bathroom (Hattie) and a window overlooking the garden. Small rooms (as you would expect in a building this age) but everything very well and tastefully done, especially the restaurant downstairs. Congratulations to owners and staff. The one (minor) negative was that breakfast was adequate but a little disappointing, especially the lack of bread/toast with a... More

The location of this Inn is ideal for Skagway because everything you want to do is within walking distance. We were greatly disappointed in the "front desk" service. There seemed to be confusion over our reservation and our tickets to the White Pass Train when we checked in. Very Strange. The room was typical of a B&B. Breakfast was mediocre... More

This was our second time staying at the Skagway Inn. The decor is very well done, in the spirit of the gold rush. The only problem for us was that the walls are not insulated and we could hear our neighbours as if they were in the room with us.

Michele, Thank you very much for visiting us a second time. We apologize for the sound issue. In an effort to preserve our historic building we have not altered the original structure and insulation. However, we are sorry to hear this affected your experience with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon. More

The name of our room was Kitty. It was comfortable but small. We got a peek of most of the 10 rooms at the hotel and they are all small but nicely decorated. Our host met us at the dock and transported us to the hotel. That was a big plus. The hotel is not that far from the dock... More

This cozy hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Skagway's attractions and is appointed with interesting period pieces scattered throughout lobby, common areas and rooms. Guests are offered a home-cooked breakfast including eggs, bacon and potatoes or offerings from the breakfast bar. Proprietor and staff are helpful and willing to accommodate guest needs.
