Stayed there in September of this year. A welcoming environment - hostess was wonderful. The rooms are very well done with comfortable beds, super clean and cosy. Great breakfasts too. Even offered to set us up with a breakfast to go as we were catching a very early ferry to Juneau. A little more expensive than others in Skagway but... More

I would say that this was like home away from home, but it's much cleaner with better baking than my house! It was wonderful to get fresh muffins and coffee each morning, along with friendly hosts and lots of travel stories around the table. All the other guests were respectful of the noise in the lobby (we were in room... More

We had a great time in Skagway only made better by our wonderful stay at The White House. A very short walk from bustling downtown Skagway. To bad the street roll up shortly after the tour boats leave.

We stayed at the White House in June 2013 and were delighted with our rooms, service and common areas. Jan was extremely helpful from our first email contact to our departure. She was able to accommodate our allergy issues and was also helpful in suggesting places to eat at. We only wish we had stayed in Skagway for a couple... More

This B&B is an easy 1 mile walk from the Alaska ferry but a world away from the hustle of Broadway, the main tourist street in Skagway. We were welcomed with fresh baked cookies upon our arrival and delicious warm muffins in the morning. Our room, #207, had a sitting room and the wi-fi was fast. Whether you are traveling... More

The rooms were big and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I loved the yummy homemade cookies in the afternoon and the homemade baked goodies in the morning. The hosts went out of their way to make me decaf coffee every morning. The Smart bus was convenient from the ferry to the White House and back ($2 each way). The... More

"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend." Melody Beattie -- glad you enjoyed the cookies, we do too! Jan and John More

Very spacious rooms, carefully maintained. Feels in some ways more like a small hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy walk to town, airport and ferry, but far enough to be off the cruise ship pathway. Town mini-bus service ($2) runs nearby but will drop off in front if asked.

What a great place to stay! We were warmly greeted and taken to our large well appointed rooms. The breakfasts were very good and they helped cater for a food allergy. There is tea and coffee available 24/7. It is an historical structure, beautifully and lovingly maintained. Our hosts were most obliging with local travel information. Ample parking. Note if... More

We had just come off the Chilkoot trail and were tired and ready for a shower, meal and nice beds. Some of the other hikers stayed at the hostel across the street. Our choice was better. Yes, this is bigger than a typical B&B but the downstairs has all of the charm you would expect. Although it was full the... More

What a lovely restored home with lots of room and friendly staff and visitors. We, and the couple we were traveling with, were pleased with our choice of The White House B&B.
