We had a very comfortable two nights here. We had room 101 on the ground floor which was huge. It is within easy walking distance of the centre of Skagway. The town is lovely when there are no cruise ships in! The breakfasts were OK and the homemade muffins excellent. It was a shame that there was no fresh fruit,... More

We recently stayed at this historic looking B and B while touring around the Yukon and Alaska. The room was comfortable as was the bed. We were travelling with a small child and when we arrived the play pen was set up in our room which was as added bonus. The hosts were pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was "ok"... More

Stayed here twice now. A little pricier than other options but well worth the extra $'s. Clean, tastefully decorated, homey rooms. Simple, fresh items for breakfast. Friendly hosts and pretty much anywhere you want to go is within walking distance. Highly recommend this B & B.

This renovated B&B decorated with antiques, a little off the beaten path, but the shuttle service will provide inexpensive transportation if you figure it out. It's a long walk from the ferry! In an otherwise tacky, touristy town, this is a calm retreat. You'll be greeted with fresh cookies in the cookie jar each afternoon. Lovely quilts adorn the wall.... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your visit here on Trip Advisor. There are lots of gems in our touristy lil' town, and we are grateful you counted us to be one of them. For those traveling without their own transportation, we try to mention during the booking process and again in the confirmation that there is a... More

We (3) just returned from a visit to Alaska where we stayed overnight at the White House. This is a beautifully restored home, conveniently located within walking distance to shopping, dining and attractions run by friendly hosts. Chelsey had been very friendly and helpful from the start of our communication and was the same in person. John had many suggestions... More

I will make sure to pass on to Chelsey and John how helpful they were during your stay. We couldn't run our place without them, and Kate too ... it's a group effort. Thanks for taking the time to recognize their efforts. It is greatly appreciated. Safe travels. Jan More

We stayed at this very nice historic home with another couple during an extensive trip throughout SE Alaska. We walked from the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry with our rolling luggage but it was a little longer trip than we expected, although not unacceptable. As it turned out there is a very inexpensive and prompt shuttle service to all the town's... More

Thank you for your write up. While Skagway has it's share of tacky touristy attractions, there are gems around each and every corner. Delighted to have been counted among them. The ferry terminal is about a mile from our place. We endeavor to share with all those that book with us in advance that there is a city shuttle available... More

Stayed there in September of this year. A welcoming environment - hostess was wonderful. The rooms are very well done with comfortable beds, super clean and cosy. Great breakfasts too. Even offered to set us up with a breakfast to go as we were catching a very early ferry to Juneau. A little more expensive than others in Skagway but... More

Thank you for your kind words. So glad you enjoyed your visit. And yes, our 1902 Historic B&B is without an elevator and 7 of the 9 rooms are upstairs; that is one of the reasons we do not offer on line booking. We like to talk with all our potential guests so they know what's in store. Hope you... More

I would say that this was like home away from home, but it's much cleaner with better baking than my house! It was wonderful to get fresh muffins and coffee each morning, along with friendly hosts and lots of travel stories around the table. All the other guests were respectful of the noise in the lobby (we were in room... More

We had a great time in Skagway only made better by our wonderful stay at The White House. A very short walk from bustling downtown Skagway. To bad the street roll up shortly after the tour boats leave.

We stayed at the White House in June 2013 and were delighted with our rooms, service and common areas. Jan was extremely helpful from our first email contact to our departure. She was able to accommodate our allergy issues and was also helpful in suggesting places to eat at. We only wish we had stayed in Skagway for a couple... More
