Good location, on the outer circle of this great little town of Tournus. Rooms are okay, good size, nice bathroom, easy to walk around for both of us. Sleep quality good, bed good, plenty of space for clothes, hangers, closet, etc. Has a parking garage, next to Hotel, very convenient. Breakfast was okay. But the highlight was a Michelin one... Arrived by car relatively late at night after travelling for many hours. It had private parking and was really easy to get from carpark to hotel with our luggage. Perfect service and beautiful room. The dinner that we booked with our stay was out of this world! It was an amazing experience overall. Just true good quality stuff - top... More

In a medieval small town, "Le Rempart" offers really nice rooms to rest after a gastronomic meal in the great tradition of Burgundy! Between two meals there is plenty to visit at a walking distance of the hotel. Nights are very quite behind windows of quadruple glasses. But if you wish to use your ipad and Skype your family, just... More

We had heard this was a good hotel with a fine restaurant from family who stayed there many times years ago and again recently and couldn't agree more. It was even better than what we had anticipated and very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant, took the Classic Menu and had a superb dinner with superb wines for a... More

we were a family of four staying for 1 night on our way to provence. We had booked the hotel for our return journey too a fortnight later but cancelled that stay after the first one. we had the quadruple room which is basically a double bed and a sofabed. bed was rock hard and pillows incredibly thin but I... We booked the hotel via Booking.com to anticipate a long journey back to Belgium. Rooms are near with A/C. The hotel is located along a very crowded national road and train line, impacting the noise level, but windows are reasonably insulated. Staff is very friendly!

The highlight of this hotel is the Restaurant, which had just obtained its first Michelin Star the week we were there. Faultless service , the impeccable decor is a little overdecorated for our taste. However, the food was superb. We had the medium priced menu ( Classiques du Rempart ) and it was delicious, varied in techniques, beautifully presented. The... More

This was our first hotel on our Vermont Bike Tour trip to Burgundy. Couldn't have asked for a nicer little hotel. Rooms were lovely, breakfast was great. Easy to get to everything in Tournus.N ear the abbey and the cell museum. One block from the fabulous Restaurant Greuze.

We arrived very late (past 9pm) yet they kept our table and we had the most wonderful meal, we were the last two people in the restaurant but they never once rushed us. We had the set menu which was around 6 courses and it was divine. The staff were so helpful, parking our car in the secure garage underground,... More

Travelling from the south of France back to the Netherlands le Rempart offers a pleasant place to sleep and dine. The restaurant might be worth a star in the red guide. This mat be possible if the tempo between the courses of the menu could be a little less. In addition it is a little strange to see the waiters... More
