Ultra-modern hotel with contemporary Michelin * restaurant. Very good rooms, and excellent, creative food. Service was not perfect, but was pretty good, just a notch down from what I expect from a restaurant of this quality. Like L'Enclume, the courses are small but plentiful and tasty.

We stopped here overnight on our way to the Alps. Our room was very spacious with a large very comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. We had dinner in the the restaurant that evening, we had our whippet with us and as in most French hotels he was allowed in the restaurant with us. The staff were efficient and friendly... More

I have known this hotel for over 20 years & I've never been disappointed. The welcome is friendly, some of the rooms are a bit smallish but they are always well maintained. The only grumble I have is with the towels - too small! The restaurant is excellent, cuisine innovative & delicious - interesting menus. The dining room is elegant... More

We booked room 100 which is a suite and warmly recommend it if you can afford it.It is very spacious, and beautiful plus extremely comfortable, with an excellent bed,and a lovely bathroom..It would be nice to get a free bootle of water,as in most expensive rooms. The staff is well trained and very helpful. You can park your car for free inside the hotel... We got the "family room" - more like a duplex apartment with ample space for a family of 6. Restaurant was delicious and they catered fantastically for kids. Great wine as well. Nothing to do around there but a perfect pit stop on a long drive.

This hotel + restaurant has been considerably extended since we first came across it several years ago & both are terrific !Tournus is about 6 1/2 hours from Calais so we tend to stop overnight on our journeys & have never been disappointed. The restaurant does new things to great in-season produce. This time, my slices of Hare, cooked to... More

Comfortable hotel just off the autoroute and very convenient for those of us who travel UK to/from Med several times a year. The hotel has been totally refurbished since our last stay. Restaurant has bee extended - neede because there have been times we found it full. It remains an excellent meal but wine prices have risen perhaps to pay... More

We stayed here enroute to the south on the recommendation of previous Tripadvisor comments, and were so pleased we did. The hotel is just on the outskirts of the town, not a particularly attractive area but as we planned to eat in the hotel the location was fairly unimportant. The room we had was on the first floor, we were... More

I'd score this a 3.5 if I could. Have rounded it down eventually because of location. Essentially I like this hotel - very helpful and pleasant staff, great food (though pricey), a good amount of character and quaintsy Frenchness about it, clear investment in things like the car park and new rooms, pleasant patio area to have pre-dinner drinkies. Negatives... More

Tournus has many hotels as it is just off the main north/south motorway and an excellent stopover. There are also some very good and well-known restaurants. We have stayed in two other hotels in this town and wanted to try Aux Terrasses this time. Our renovated room had lovely colourful covers and curtains but way too much furniture for its... More
