This review does not address lodging here, or the food served in the new brasserie in addition to the restaurant. I'll review, here, the restaurant. My title sums up my feels about this place, and I've eaten here at least ten times over the years. It's old-fashioned Burgundy from room decoration, to table settings, to service, to food. And it... The room was nicely decorated, a bit small but comfortable. There is a small hall to the toilets and bathroom so you're away from the corridor and lift noises.I have been really impressed by the attention everyone bears to customers.Typical French hotel for a very good price/quality ratio. The restaurant serves reasonable meals, the wine list was disappointing with no wines from the... Have been eating in the restaurant approx. 6 times a year for the last 7 years with friends when they visit France. Great seasonal menus, service and a warm welcome each time. Tried other places in Paray but always return to the pigeons.

Wished I could be equally positive about the room. Our family of 4 stayed in a family room "chambre familial" which had 2 double beds. Nothing serious to be faulted except the furniture, carpet, lights were tired looking. The bathroom was the best because the water in the shower was hot and adequately strong. Maybe expecting too much as this... More

This is a 2-star hotel, so no obligation to have an elevator, and indeed there isn't one, which is good to know when you're about to negotiate heavy luggage through a narrow and rather steep staircase. The room itself was rather a suite, as the more than adequate bedroom was preceded by a kind of anteroom with storage, a couch,... More

The rooms were good comfortable and quiet due to the thick walls. Plenty of free parking on the streets around and no panic to leave because all seemed free. A nice little town too! We thought that breakfast at €10 each was too high and decided to pop out for a coffee in town instead. Generally all good. Pity about... More

Our room was much nicer than the Internet photos. Wifi didn't work in the rooms but staff were very helpful and the lounge was a nice place to sit anyway. Location is right in town, some rooms on a noisy road but they have very good sound proofing

We stayed for a week in June, on a b & b basis (booked through Brittany Ferries). The weather was awful when we arrived so we chose to eat in the hotel rather than getting wet searching for an alternative, and it was excellent. We ended up eating there nearly every night. The food is not top end of the... More

We only wished we had more time to stay in Paray Le Monial. It was a beautiful and interesting town and this hotel was very well located. We had a great family room for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 4, 6 and 8). In the one room there were two double beds and one single... More
