We stayed one night here before driving the 30 minutes into St Malo to catch the morning Brittany Ferries sailing back to Portsmouth. A good idea - the rooms were large and well-equipped, and breakfast fine. Don't be put off by the golf-buff angle - we don't play golf at all but were still made to feel welcome.

The Saint Malo Hotel, Golf & Country Club was chosen via Golfbreaks as a venue for an overnight stay with a round of 18 holes by my wife and I. We were not disappointed and very impressed. The course is in excellent condition and has some challenging holes an is a lovely course to play. On two of the holes... More

When we arrived they tried to put us in a room at the ground floor, but we had asked an booked to be on the first floor with a balcony. After a long negotiation we managed to get what we paid for... (by the way, the room on the ground flour was terrible, dirty and probably not cleaned.) Anyway, whe... More

Chose to stay here on a whim and it turned out wonderfully in our favour. The staff were all very pleasant and were keen to accommodate our every request. Made a last min booking on the same day of arrival and they made it happen ... even when we said we'd arrive at 2 a.m. The grounds are beautiful and... More

If your here for the golf it ticks all the right boxes, the hotel however is a low average and the food is disappointing. When we arrived we found only one person managing the reception who was on the phone for a considerable period of time (dealing with a difficult customer - my basic French managed to pick that up!).... This was our forth visit to the hotel. The staff are young and enthusiastic. The rooms are large and overlook the lake or the golf course. They are well equipped. The area is very quiet and the golf reasonable. The restaurant is quiet but the menu is good as is the service. The booking was through Brittany Ferries.

Just back after a 4 day golf trip and overall, while very happy with the golf courses and pleased enough with the accommodation the hotel was not great. The 18 hole golf course is excellent for golfers of all standards as it's quite wide open and forgiving, with some great holes (the 5th & 16th in particular) and the 9... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a long weekend and didn't want to leave. The setting was stunning and we enjoyed relaxing on our balcony in the evening while looking out over the golf course. Located just far enough outside of Dinan to be a great getaway and with a restaurant on site you didn't need to leave if... More

Near Saint Malo, in the countryside, this hotel have a very friendly staff and the rooms are excellent, with mezzanine for the kids. Very quiet, with a wood around.

A five night golf break organised by Britanny Ferries was let down by a hotel that lacked in many aspects its "Bronze Rating" as part of the Hotel Preference Group. It is rated as 3 star but regretably falls short of this criteria. The hotel is described as having two restaurants- it has only one. The set menu at 27... More
