After a few days in another nearby Douarnenez hotel, we changed to this (more expensive) one - Le Clos de Vallombreuse - and were very glad we did. I have read other reviews so was aware of issues others had but this was not our experience. We found this to be an excellent hotel. Spotlessly clean, very quiet but still... More

This hotel is the kind of place you dream of finding but almost never do. The setting is lovely: overlooking the sea and quiet, but also right in the heart of Douarnenez. Our room was a good size with a balcony and a view of the bay. The hotel is an old building with modern extensions but the feel, particularly... More

A stunning location with views over the bay, this hotel has been refurbished, well half of it at least! Great new hot tub steam room and sauna, breakfast nice, but didn't eat in the hotel because they only had a fixed menu, no good if you just want a plate of soup. The outdoor heated pool area was lovely too.... More

The hotel was not too difficult to find, it is right behind a large church, front entrance is a little tricky, we have a Ford KA and the front entrance needs a sharp turn, although there is a wider rear entrance. The rooms were large and well decorated albeit a little conservatively, but ours had a really good view over... More

This hotel is quiet, secluded and a great location close to the town with good parking which can be difficult at busy times especially the sailing festival in July 2012.After getting stuck with the road closures someone came from the Hotel to direct us through the barriers in place There are modern rooms, slightly dated, in an annexe of recent... We stayed for three nights at Le Clos de Vallombreuse. Our room was very spacious and had a very nice bathroom and a balcony. The weather was a bit cold and damp for us to make use of the balcony, but the view over the swimming pool and sea was lovely. We ate in the restaurant two different nights and... More

My room was in the old house and was spacious, comfortable and with a view over the swimming pool to the sea. The restaurant was excellent with both cheese and dessert included. Breakfast was limited but adequate.

We called 6 months before our stay to make sure that we could have side by side non-smoking rooms for medical reasons for us and our disabled teen travelling with us. Although at first sight the place looked ok, the main building & the setting seem nice, the pool looks fine with the sea in background but.... Even if we... More

We stayed here in July 2011 the first hotel on our cycling adventure . It has a beautiful position with lovely views out to see. The food is just fantastic..... cheese board to die for. The rooms are spacious looking out to the swimming pool with your own little veranda, if only the hotel could have provided the weather, it... More
