Stayed here our last night in CR before we flew out the next day and we weren't disappointed at all. This place was beautiful and super relaxing. The hosts were great and super accommodating. Breakfast was also delicious. A highlight for us was when they connected us with a neighbour friend to show us his property and gardens just down... More

We stayed here our first night in Costa Rica and it was wonderful! Helena was so friendly and the setting is so quiet and lovely. We enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the hummingbirds. The rooms are a bit small, but beautifully furnished and with wall-sized windows on two sides of the room, there was plenty of natural light.... More

We stayed in San Ramon waiting for friends of ours to meet up so we could move on to La Fortuna. Not exactly sure why anyone would want to visit San Ramon, does not seem that there's much to do there. The rooms were nice enough, very simple.. the lady that runs it is very nice and could not of... More

This hotel has a really attractive, minimalist design. Really cool architectural details. It's a very cozy place to bed down if you are looking for a jumping off point to explore the region (lots of cool hiking up north in Los Angeles del Sur or Villa Blanca) or return to SJO the next day. Accommodations are so lovely and because... More

With any excuse we return here. The location is on the outskirts of San Ramon--perhaps 3-4 kilo-meters from the Town Square. It sits fairly high offering a lovely bucolic view over part of the valley. The structure is a well done architecturally designed building to fit the setting. A nice mixture of simple elegance and local resources. The grounds are... More

Lovely B & B in the hillsides of San Ramon. Though located in a residential neighborhood, once on the property one does not see or notice the neighbors as the home is perched higher on the hill and, once seated on the deck or walking the grounds, the vista is of the surrounding mountains. Helena (our host) was warm, welcoming... More

Everything was as advertised. Host was very communicative when we made the arrangements. Traveling from Arenal to the southern Pacific, I recommend a stopover, and this is it. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

I cannot say enough about the wonderful time we had at the Casa. The host was the best, quite warm and welcoming. The rooms was very nice, clean and comfortable. I stayed in room 4. The breakfast was very good, fresh and wholesome. Had a great dinner there by request too, which was the high-lite meal of our trip. Really... More

If you are heading toward the Arenal or Nicoya areas from the San Jose airport and need a restful place to stop before starting your adventure, I highly recommend Casa Amanecer. It is a beautifully designed, small bed and breakfast that is in a great location for those coming to or going to the airport. The manager, Helen, was welcoming... More

With it's close proximity to the airport, beautiful Casa Amanacer was the perfect place to begin our Costa Rica adventure. Our host, Helen, couldn't have been more gracious. She was warm and kind and helpful. The setting was sublime, perched high on a hill overlooking the coffee plantations; the rooms clean, tasteful, simple, and comfortable; breakfast plentiful and delicious. Our... More
