Our experience with Miller's Landing was the one low point of our entire vacation. I grew up in Alaska and used services from Miller's many times, however things have changed. I must also preface this review, we got engaged the night we spent in Kayaker's Cove, so we were floating on air. It would have to take something truly horrible... more

Miller's Landing isn't your typical touristy resort, which is probably why it has some bad reviews here, but it is a piece of authentic Alaska. The owners and the employees are multi-generation Alaska natives and being here is not just a vacation, it's a life experience. The fishing charter we went on was captained by the owner's son, who is... more

We booked an all day guided kayak trip with Miller's landing nearly a month in advance. Despite the negative reviews on tripadvisor, all seemed to go well. We used a coupon from the Northern Light's coupon book while booking over the phone. Miller's Landing confirmed the price and dates via the phone and sent a follow up e-mail with the... more

I was in Alaska for 3 weeks and was only going to be able to do a 1/2 day fishing charter, but I really wanted to be able to go fishing. Miller's Landing was the only place that worked on making sure that I would be able to go out fishing. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially our... more

I personally think this place is perfect! Great setting, friendly booking staff, and what you would expect in the rugged outdoors! If you want gold toilet seats and fresh mangoe scented linens, go visit New York! Definitely would recommend to anyone! more

To put my comments into context, I spent over a decade in the Marine Corps so I feel confident that I have seen a wide range of places. It was like going back to summer camp, only flithy. The bathrooms/showers are disgusting! The cabins are adequate at very best. The same for the kayaks and associated equipment. Look elsewhere until... more

I wished I would have read these reviews ahead of time. The place is a DUMP! The amenities are antiquated, unkept and right down filthy. The staff, as the amenities, dirty and extremely unfriendly/unhelpful. Although we don't recommend this place, the area, as all of Alaska is gorgeous. Too bad people have to spoil the natural beauty. more

Our second stay at Millers. Booked at the last minute for week prior to Labor Day. Stayed in the Crows Nest two nights and one night in Alder Cabin. They are basic shelter, Crows Nest had fridge/microwave. We were perfectly satisfied with our accommodations, especially the price! They're not the Ritz but certainly met our needs. Fellas had a full... more

We camped for about a week. After being moved around to swampy sites one too many times, we cut our losses and moved to Bear Creek Campgrounds(wonderful!). The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and unmaintained--better off not showering. The toilets felt like they would tip over at any time. Floors in bathroom were rotten. The sites were lakes. The staff was... more

The water taxi service was supposed to retrieve me 72hrs after drop-off at an agreed upon time of 12:20. Once a boat arrived @ 15:45, I was told that there was no reason I wasn't retrieved at 12:20, since I was on the manifest for 12:20. The boat that did arrive @ 15:45 had no intention of retrieving me. I... more
