I stayed here for two nights in early May. My rate was only $70/night and with a 2-for-1 coupon I effectively paid only $35/night. Granted it was off-season but even then it was an excellent value. Hotel staff was very friendly and answered my several questions thoroughly and politely. The hotel shows some signs of wear but I was very... more

We LOVED the Hotel Seward. The previous review talked about 'renovations.' We stayed in the Alaskan Wing and found no such thing. When speaking with the front desk, who were EXTREMELY friendly, they did mention something about putting in a lounge and remodeling in the Historic wing, but we didn't encounter any noise and wouldn't have even known about these... more

This hotel is old, and when we checked in it was being remodeled. They didn't mention it when we called. I wouldn't have booked a room there if I knew it. Anyhow, the room we stayed in was very small, didn't smell good and the bathtub looked like it was ready to be replaced. more

Stayed at the Hotel Seward from 5/13-5/16/07, and can not say enough good things about the hotel. From the room, to the great staff who could not do enough for you, we would highly recommend this hotel. We were originally booked for 2 nights, because of a fishing trip, but ended up staying an extra day, because we enjoyed ourselves... more

A little bit of a shock when you walk in and see lot's of stuffed animals (taxidermy) but hey you're in Alaska right? For a 2 star hotel $200 for the night was very very pricy. Apart from a dirty wash cloth in the room (and obvious oversight) the room was clean and pleasant. $70 room anywhere else. But again... more

stayed here for 1 night in late june. booked the room through travelocity, but hotel claimed it never rec'd reservation from them. they had availability, so it was no big deal (would have been a real pain if it was full). desk did say that they do have problems with travelocity and hotels, so if you book through either of... more
