Friendly staff, super accommodating in a great area with many dinning options close enough to walk to. Clean well kept property with many taxidermically prepared small animals in the lobby and surrounding area. Just booked yesterday for another stay.

We stayed here in May after our wedding. It was well worth the extra to get an executive. We got a room overlooking the sound and downtown, and it was amazing! The room is spacious and clean, the service was fantastic! It was a great choice as part of our wedding celebration. The rooms are quaint and have a historic... More

Located in the western end of Seward, this charming hotel has everything you could want/need. Quiet area, well appointed rooms, super friendly and helpful staff, charming typical Alaska type lobby and a great little restaurant (Ms. Gene's). On site parking as well. Far enough from the center of town to have peace and quiet and yet close enough to restaurants,... More

Hotel Seward is an old hotel right in the heart of Seward. It is something right out of the show "Northern Exposure" My family and I absolutely loved the quirkiness of the hotel lobby while at the same time you did not feel as if you were in a hotel but back home for the night which was terrific. We... More

I was impressed with this hotel and its staff. Our room was in the new section and therefore had its own bathroom. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Corbin worked the front desk and did some of the cooking for breakfast during our two night stay. He is very pleasant and helpful. Christo's Palace located close by was a... More

We visited Seward end of June/first of July and I wrote a review on the hotel. I didn't realize there was a 90 day wait between reviews or I would've included this originally. In addition to the room for 3 nights, we also booked an all day salmon fishing trip with their in-house guide, Wes. What a great choice! Wes... More

Go back in time. These are the days of real keys, smaller (double) beds, few electrical plugs. If you expect all the modern amenities, this may not be the place for you. But if you like personality and hunting trophies or remember with nostalgia a vacation you took with your grandparents 30+ years ago, you just might like it. No... More

Dear Guest, I appreciate your input. The theme of the hotel is Victorian Alaskan. The hotel is more like a large home. It does have a wildlife and history display throughout. It sound like you stayed on the Historic Wing which offers smaller- more economical rooms. The Historic Wing has Standard rooms with 1Queen bed with a bathroom and Economy... More

The hotel is historically charming, comfortable and clean. We loved the gorgeous view from our room of the harbor and the very friendly young man at the counter. This hotel is afforadable and perfect for a romantic getaway. We are so happy we booked this location on our honeymoon tour of Alaska and will definitely visit again!

Went here for one night only. Only positive thing about this hotel is I was able to charge my iphone. So yeah no I won't be staying here again. For the price I paid there are much better options. I regret I delayed my booking and did not do my research of hotels in the area.

Dear Guest, From your review it appears you rented an Economy room with 2 single beds and with the use of the shared bathroom located in the hall. I feel bad that you did not read the room description and chose by the price. It is unfortunate for both of us when someone does not understand what they have rented.... More

We were traveling to Seward and had reservations for two nights at another resort. We arrived one day early and had nowhere to stay. Found Hotel Seward online and booked. It was right on the bay and loved the area. Room was clean and very comfortable and roomy! Their food at their restaurant is great even though they were short-handed... More
