The kids loved the display on the main floor, Alaskan wildlife. The hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, bars and Sealife Center. The rooms are clean, I would stay again. There is a park a few blocks away too.

We stayed two nights at the Hotel Seward. We stayed in a room in the old historic part of the hotel. Our room had a sink in the room and shared baths with other rooms. We never had an issue when needing to use the bathroom. The room and shared baths were very clean, but our room had problems with... More

We made a 3 day reservation, when we checked in we were given the last room, 12 I believe, in the old section. This room has two windows, both open right next to the alley. There was a guy looking in the window. The room, and carpet, needed an overhaul. Went to the front desk, they had no other room... More

This is an old hotel and, while the bed was a bit lumpier than I prefer, we certainly found the accommodations acceptable. It was clean and charming. If it bothers you to see animals that have been killed and stuffed, I suggest you close your eyes when walking through the lobby.

Hotel Seward was a nice hotel. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Definitely recommend a back side room as our parking lot and people walking past noise was annoying. Since there was no AC, windows needed to be open. No elevator. Lots of mounted animals in the lobby which took away from the historic aspect of the hotel... More

Hotel Seward is a nice hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds were very comfortable. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready so the the front desk staff told us they would call when our room was ready. They never called so we went back to check at 5:00 pm and it was ready. Just wish the... More

If you are looking for a charming, quaint place to stay in Seward,Alaska this is the place for you. But if you are not into looking at trophy animal heads, maybe not:) The staff here was exemplary and every attempt was made to accommodate. Shared bathrooms were a bit of a challenge but, if you aren't into that just stay in... More

We spent two nights here during a recent visit to Alaska. We stayed in the "new wing" in a deluxe queen room with a nice view of the harbor. The room was modern, comfortable and nicely appointed, but you will not want to spend much time there with everything else to do in and around Seward. The lobby is pleasant,... More

I stayed on the Historic Wing and quite honestly, I am used to a bathroom in my room. The bed was cosy. We had a door problem the locksmith incorrectly made new keys and the door didn't open. 20 minutes later we got on. Also, the radiator I wish you could fence off as someone could be singed or burnt!... More

The Hotel Seward is a classic of time gone by. It has an old section that is very well kept and takes you back over 100 years. Has a bar and small restaurant. You are 5 minutes walking distance to the bay, shops, and restaurants unbelievable landscape.
