Totally enjoyed our 24 hour stay. Words and pictures can't truly describe the beauty of this place. We enjoyed relaxing on our deck with a fantastic view, sea kayaked along the coast to waterfalls, loved finding starfish and other creatures in the tidal pools. Wonderful hosts, location and accommodations.

My husband and I stayed 1 night on Orca Island and loved every minute of it. The island is breathtaking and it was amazing to stay in a Yurt for the night. We enjoyed kayaking and finding the trail to the waterfall. The Yurt were very comfortable. As a couple we love camping and camped most places in Alaska. However,... More

The location is gorgeous. The property is set up in the cove and among these cool little islands so that it allows everything to mesh with the natural beauty. We maximized our two night stay but I could have stayed a lot longer and I would recommend at least a two night stay. We really enjoyed fishing in the cove... More

My friends and I were celebrating the accomplishment of one of our friends and selected Orca Island Cabins as our retreat. As is likely to happen in Alaska, (people this isn't Southern California) it rained during our stay. We were prepared with proper rain gear and kayaked and got outside anyway. It was an amazing time and I highly recommend... More

We have lived in Alaska for 20+ years and this is our #1 favorite place to visit. So much so we spent our 25th wedding anniversary there this June. The location is one of the most spectacular spots in the state - right on the water. We have seen whales, seals, porpoises right off the deck. Kayaks, paddle boards, fishing... More

We're very happy that long-time Alaskans such as you had such a good experience at our cabins on your 25th wedding anniversary. We have tried to provide comfortable accommodations in this very special wilderness setting so that very special occasions like your anniversary can be enjoyed and remembered. And yes, we do recommend a minimum stay of two days so... More

We went early in the season in May 2015, and thankfully the weather held out for us. Just an amazing place, Susan and Dennis are incredibly gracious, knowledgeable and kind hosts, and the cabins and environment they've created is second to none. The cabins and surrounding area are gorgeous, practical, and comfortable. There are quite a few things to do,... More

Thank you for your kind remarks on your stay with us this past May. As you discovered, the month of May is a wonderful time to visit a remote wilderness setting as we have in Humpy Cove. Our goal has always been to provide comfortable and stylish accommodations in a setting where you can be as active as you want... More

My wife and I visited Seward and Orca Islands in June of 2014. We don't know how to put it into words, Susan and Dennis are passionate, professional, talented as can be, and truly great people who share with visitors a very special place. My wife and I have never done resort stay over $200 a night, we are frugal,... More

We visited Orca Island Cabins late in August and really did not know what to expect. What we found when we arrived was nothing short of spectacular. Dennis and Susan, the owners, do a fantastic job making sure guests feel welcome and are comfortable. Our yurt was perched above the water with a wonderful little deck which had a propane... More

Words and pictures do no justice to this serene setting. The owners and operators of this get away prepare you well for this isolated location. The yurts are very comfortable, private and all have a fantastic view of this Alaska cove. Mother Nature provides all the entertainment you need for this trip. Do not hesitate to book this adventure.

I recommend staying at Orca Island Cabins because: 1. The views and water color are beautiful. 2. We saw marine wildlife up close. There was a sea lion about 30 feet from our kayak tossing and catching a fish. There were a number of harbor seals who came to visit. We kayaked among a pod of porpoises. Saw a waterfall/river...
