At first we worried about the room size b/c it looks like 2 rooms in a narraw and small train car. But we're totally wrong! It has everything you need - A queen-size bed, a sleeper sofa, a kichenette, and a refrigerator, etc. The location is very convinent, right at the small harbor area in Seward. We stayed at the Whistle Stop 2 nights and wished we had more time. Seward is a nice city and the harbor is where the action is. The tours of the Kenai Fjord National Park leave from the harbor and there's lots of sports fishing as well. Kenai Fjord National Park is magical. Whales, Puffin, otters, glaciers and more. This place is amazing. It is an old train car converted into 2 rooms. It is truly unique. We love this place. Wonderful views overlooking the small boat harbor. I would certainly stay here again! more
Found this in more obscure place. It is a converted WWII sleeper car, divided into 2 suites. It is very private, in small boat harbor, views, and can walk to all. We stayed 3 nights at the Whistle Stop, which is right on the Seward harbor. We loved it here; nice, large room with a really large, clean bathroom. Microwave, fridge, and table and chairs.
