To begin with, the building itself is amazing. I wish this was my house! Roomy, sunny, and well-decorated. It has a very nice, full kitchen for guests to use, and they set out a yummy breakfast for us there every morning. We had an extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Another plus is that this lodge is very reasonably priced. The... more

The cabin was just adorable and so clean!!! I wish we could have stayed longer than one night. The location is great....a few miles from town nestled in the woods. After camping and traveling it felt so nice to shower and sleep in a comfortable bed! Oh...and the doggies are so cute! more

The Bear Paw Lodge is a great place to stay if your AK adventure takes you through Seward. It's a little off the beaten path, so next time we'd probably rent a car instead of taking a taxi ($15 from the Kayak Shop to the lodge) to get around town. Despite being full the night we were there, it was... more

We stayed at the lodge and kayaked out for a full day trip. Staying in Seward overnight before our trip made the whole experience relaxing and a great weekend getaway! Being out of town without a car meant we had to plan logistics of transportation, but Wendy made sure we knew how to arrange it and we were good. more

We stayed in the bunk room for one night. The room is perfect for a couple + 1, just the basics -- storing your luggage and a comfortable bed to sleep in. We didn't spend much time at the home itself, but the hot tub is just what we needed to unwind after a long day of ice climbing with... more

We usually stay in cabins, but BPL looked so nice that we chose it. Good decision. It is a beautiful lodge/home. The bedrooms are small but very comfortable. Excellent beds. Wendy and Dave were great, stopping by at night to check up and chat, and give advice about places to hike or kayak. I was amazed at the kitchen. It... more

We felt comfortable and right at home, the moment we arrived. The blankets on the couches and beds embraced us like warm hugs, and the beds were so comfortable that it prompted us to want to go buy sheets just like theirs. The log home is a marvel of construction, and kept us warm on a cold wet night. more

Stumbled across Bear Paw Lodge on our random travels across this fabulous state. The property is spectacular. Super clean rooms but what makes this B&B stand out is the spectacular log cabin architecture and the massive communal rooms. more

The owners were friendly and welcoming, the lodge was fully furnished and felt more like staying at a friends place (a really nice place) with a great kitchen, comfy furnishings. Highly recommended, enjoy! more
