This place is charming, clean, and yummy! The owner and his wife built this bed and breakfast by themselves. The carpentry work is incredible. The sourdough pancakes and bacon for breakfast were delicious. It is also reasonably priced. I will be back!

We spent 2 nights at the sourdough BnB. The home was beautifully built! Our room was lovely and cozy! Our breakfasts of sourdough pancakes and bacon were wonderful! The owners were friendly, funny, and very helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay here!!

We stayed at the Sourdough Sunrise for 2 nights. The guesthouse is separate from the family home, built by our host. Our room had 2 queen size beds and a private bath on the second floor. Very nice. All 3 rooms are on the second floor with a common area and a small fridge being shared by all rooms. Each... More

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful B&B, a little outside of downtown Seward towards Exit glacier. You need a car but it is worth living at this place. It is a very quiet and typical Alaskan- Style house built by the owner. Fantastic beautiful details everywhere in the house. The 3 rooms are on the 1st floor. There is... More

A lot of heart went into building this lovely house in Seward. It’s clean and neat, and the essentials are here, but the refrigerator is shared, so label what’s yours. Very near to “Exit Glacier” and close to activities for Resurrection Bay. Breakfast is great for socializing, but I’m not crazy about the sourdough pancakes. As with most places in... More

We stayed in the Sourdough which was a separate building than where the owners lived made up of 3 rooms and a common area. It was in a perfect location situated between the town of Seward and the Exit Glacier. Everything was clean and the breakfast was amazing!

Very well managed and professional! The owners are very easy to get in touch with and gladly share their adventures in Alaska with you as they make you homemade sourdough pancakes every morning from a starter recipe that's 100 years old. Rooms are beautiful, clean and have good views. The owners built the B&B and did all the woodworking in... More

Richard, Sue, Neo and Fiddle are fantastic hosts! They provide the ultimate quiet, beautiful and comfortable space to relax near Seward at Exit Glacier - simple to find. Just to see the amazing woodwork Richard did himself is worth the trip. The sourdough pancakes from true Alaskan stock dating back to 1905, hot coffee, bacon and fresh fruit is to... More

Our family of 8--6 adults & 2 children stayed 4 nights and enjoyed all 3 bedrooms. The first morning at breakfast, we were thrilled to have a moose bring her calf very close to the house for great viewing. Then a black bear appeared at the edge of the driveway--an unforgettable experience for all of us!! We loved our stay... More

We were so comfortable at Sourdough Sunrise B&B! This is a beautiful, lovingly built "home" with amazing woodwork and lots of special touches. The rooms are nice sized , the beds are comfortable and there is plenty of peace and quiet. The proprietors live in their personal home and this "home" is just for guests. You really have your own...
