We stayed at Murphy's for 3 nights after our cruise. We stayed in the older section and had no problems with the rooms, noise or bed. The older section of the hotel has new mattresses and plasma TVs. It was centrally located - half way between the small boat harbor and town. The staff was helpful and the rooms were... more

I stayed in this motel as part of an organised trip so I cant comment on price or the booking process as it was all done for me. I had no problem with this motel. The location in Seward was great. The room was basic but perfectly fine. 2 large double beds in the room which were comfortable. Bathroom was... more

We booked one night stay for the ten of our family in three rooms. This was the final day of our 18 day land trip in Alaska. We had come to Seward to take the Kenai Fjords National Park tour and needed a night's stay before returning to Anchorage. The hotel has old and new sections. We were in the... more

We were put in the old section of the motel and were the last unit that faces the main street. It was loud & noisy from the noise from the cars & people walking by. The location is great because it's quite close to town, but everything else about the place was just a rip off. For the price that... more

Where do a start, we check in after driving for 4 hours and we got the old part of the hotel that was the worst hotel I ever stayed in, we had 3 people staying in 1 hotel room and this room was so small that when one of us walk by we had to get on the bed so... more

My husband, our two boys, and I stayed in the new, two story, section of the hotel and it was great. What I liked was that it was located very close to all of the restaurants and shops at the harbor but it was down the street so that it still felt pretty private. From the second floor you get... more

Murphy's isn't elaborate by any stretch, and quite a difference from Seward Windsong, but it' was fine for what we needed. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable and had noisy plastic liners. It is well located between the small boat harbor and the downtown area. We stayed in the newer section of the hotel, and it had 2 queen size beds,... more

Murphy's isn't elaborate by any stretch, but it's a perfectly nice little place to stay, well located between the small boat harbor and the downtown area. There's a nice (although expensive) laundry facility a short walk away. I stayed in the older section of the hotel, and it had a double bed, a nice sized bathroom with a tub, a... more

My family group of eleven stayed at Murphy's Motel in July of 2006. The motel has two sections, an older one-story part and a newer two story part. This review refers only to the newer part. Murphy's is a short walk from the docks where the various glacier/wildlife cruises depart. It is a more serious walk to the downtown area... more
