This is an older hotel, but the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed there two nights. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quiet, especially helpful after a long day out on the water! Highly recommend!

WoW! Second floor facing the bay. Absolutely gorgeous! The room was clean and comfortable for our two night stay. It is close to dinning and an easy walk to tourist adventures. We saw a bunch of whales, dolphins, and sea birds during a whale watching cruse. In a pinch, we could watch the baseball game across the street at the... More

Stayed here in late July along with some friends during a self drive tour of Alaska. The motel is very centrally located, and within 8 minutes of the towns restaurants and tourist booking sites. The motel is old, 1960's decor, very small rooms, the bathroom needs a serious make over as does the room--old furniture, musty smell to the room... More

I found this place a bit expensive. The wifi did not work in our room. The signal was very weak and we would lose connection. The complimentary breakfast did not have many options. I am sure you can get better service for the same money elsewhere.

Great location and the young lady on the front desk was very helpful. The view from the deluxe room on second floor was amazing. When we woke up the next morning we could see our cruise ship. I was a bit concerned as there is no lift but it is only one flight of stairs. The free Seward shuttle has... More

Location on is on the water, and on a main road next to a park and an RV park. Quite noisy along with the hollow walls. Its your basic motel room almost zero amenities they do offer free WiFi. The free breakfast consisted of Styrofoam cup of coffee and a three day old refrigerator muffin, can you say diaharea. You... More

The first impression, being a motel, was not very inviting, but then we ended up staying for three nights. We enjoyed the big room, even though we didn't use the kitchenette. I enjoyed the rather simple breakfast, compared to the American style breakfast, we had before.

We booked here because we were looking for a place that is within walking distance to the harbor so we can go on the Kenai Fjord Cruise the following morning. Primary reason for that is because I didn't want to pay for parking at the harbor. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk I would say to the... More

The worst aspect of our 2 night stay in Murphy's Inn, as others have observed, was the noise. Our first floor room in the new block suffered from being able to hear every footstep in the room above us with the added distraction of frequent plumbing sounds. Not conducive to a good night's sleep. Our bedroom was large, light and... More

I paid for one night to see the room before deciding about staying a second night. The room looked okay so I went back to the office and paid for the next night too. Next morning someone is trying to open the door. I'm in the bathroom so I can't answer the door. Instead, I assume it's housekeeping so I... More
