Have just returned from a week in Seward Alaska where we stayed at Alaska's Third Ave. Lodging which is an old house that has been converted to apartments/studios. It reminded us of an old frat house, it smelled badly, had big leaks, had several lights that didn't work, and no heat in the main room. We were in the international suite, I have no idea why it was called that except a few postcards from other places on the wall. The smoke alarm went off when we made toast, the clock alarm going off in the next apt. made us think it was our smoke alarm going off again. There was sort of a view over rooftops of the neighbors, but it didn't compare to their description. All this for a price of $185./night. On the plus side the TV worked and the shower worked well.
