This lodge only has about 10 rooms, of all different sizes and amenities, and all very cute and clean. Across the bay side is a wraparound deck, which is great for watching sunsets and wildlife. Most, but not all rooms have windows facing the bay. I highly recommending spending a little more to get one. Make sure to note, this... more

Stayed 3 nights in August, in the room next to the breakfast room with the bay window. Front row sea otter viewing every day! Plus eagles and other birds. Tiny bathroom, but I liked the door that went directly to the break room, convenient for accessing the refrigerator at night. We like this setup better than a true B&B, no... more

We stayed at Saltwater Lodge for three nights in August of 2009 and if you are looking for a water front lodge with killer views of Resurrection Bay in an Alaskan fishing village environment, look no further. This is your place. If you are looking for hotel amenities, then look elsewhere but you will have missed this Alaska experience. Jim... more

Out of the way gem! On the banks of the bay. Watched boats coming and leaving harbor. Were there during a full moon and it was glistening on water. Owner was very nice and fixed a wonderful fruit bowl every morning. Watched Bald Eagles in trees and on the beach. more

Stayed at Lowell Point Cottage - Part of the Alaska Saltwater Lodge. It was just my wife and I, but the coattage could sleep 8 easy... Main Bed room is bigger than most Hotel suites, and then there is a second bed room upstairs. The cottage has a relaxing living room area, Breakfast Nook, and Galley Kitchen, then a nice... more

The employees were helpul and pleasant. We stayed 2 weeks and they were great each day. We started with choices for breakfast. There was always fresh fruit salad, Coffee, tea, hot choclate, hot cider, toast, oatmeal. The dinning area was always clean and fresh. We had clean towels daily and fresh sheets as often as we desired them. Some days we... more

We were in Room F, which just faced the forested area, which was fine with us since we were going on a boat tour later. No need to "check in" since you will see your name on a board when you pull in and the key will be in the door already! Seemed kinda weird. Oh and the road to... more

And we just now checked out. We stayed in a suite on the upper floor - had rooms B & C. The view was incredible. Shower was hot, beds are so comfortable. And the furnishings? BEAUTIFUL. The manager Jesse was professional and friendly. He had breakfast (fruit, breads, coffee, juice) avaialble every morning. The only downside would be the terrible... more

Stayed in the North and South room the end of June. The lodge definitely has the best views and a decent breakfast, however, you need to decide if you are willing to overlook everything else for those views. Our room had a tiny shower with a showerhead about 5 ft high. No soap, no shampoo, no cleaning or beds made,... more

The Saltwater Lodge is located right on the water. When we booked our room, we knew it did not have a view, but we also only paid $109/night. I don't know how much the rooms with a view were. It was a simple room with double bed + twin bed, small bathroom with toilet and shower and a closet. We... more
