We stayed here in early June, 2012. We were supposed to rent the house across the street, but somehow the first people to rent if for the season, trashed it. Badly. Since the lodge is pretty small, the owners had to do some shuffling to accommodate us. They were incredibly honest and called us that morning as we were heading... More

I had occasion to spend a long weekend at the lodge during Labor Day Weekend. We had a quilting retreat, and there were probably 18 of us. The accommodations were wonderful. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, a view to die for, everything one could want. Our group had two areas in which to sew and gather, which... More

This establishment overlooks the wild and scenic Ressurection Bay- for the most part. We were the unfortunate ones in our group that were assigned to Unit H in our group. This particular unit is the only one that overlooks the parking lot and is on the ground level for a more intimate view of the cars. There is only one... More

We stayed at the Saltwater Lodge for 2 nights, I am sorry but I cant understand the rave reviews of Seward itself as a town, once you ve seen it you ve seen it There is nothing to do but shop in overpriced stores, or go to overpriced restaurants, or do something that you find sold at the marina, fishing... What a great place to stay. Great views, comfortable rooms, and very nice people who go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The whale watching excursion with Tanya and Clay was unforgettable. Four people from our group of ten went fishing with the owner Captain Jim. They caught the limit and had a great time. Hope to... The Alaska Saltwater Lodge is located about 10 minutes out of Seward, overlooking Resurrection Bay and it was worth the drive. We had a special room right next to the breakfast room, with a little alcove jutting out which held a table and 2 chairs. It was very enjoyable to sit there and look out at the mountains and glaciers,... More

I recently attended a wedding in Seward, Alaska and stayed at the Alaska Saltwater Lodge on Lowell Point. My room was attractive, clean and comfortable and had an incredible view of the Bay. I was especially impressed when I was served a nice sized bowl of fresh fruit with my continental breakfast. I'd stay here again for sure!

From the warm welcome we received upon arrival until our departure after a great breakfast, the Alaska Saltwater Lodge is one of the best places I've stayed in Seward. We watched otters and loons from our bedroom window and kicked back with coffee on the front deck. Very clean, comfortable and most certainly a place we will visit again in... More

A wonderful time with our family. We could not have asked for a better view. Our room hung over the ocean at high tide. A nice balcony for sharing wine at the end of the day. Great mountain and bay views from our bed. The gas grill was great for cooking dinner. Thank you. Nice breakfast. Family friendly.

Twelve of us stayed here for the first three nights of our trip to Alaska. This place was the best way we could begin our trip! Very nice lodging, as our group had the common area with a few bedrooms, as well as other rooms separate from this area, which were ideal for all the couples. Very clean, comfortable and... More
