Alaska Saltwater Lodge is a great place to stay! It is just outside the city, right on the water. Our suite had big windows looking out onto the water. I wish that I could visit every weekend. Even though it was raining, the experience was great! We drove down from Anchorage for a girls weekend and had a blast! more

The Saltwater Lodge is a great place to stay in Seward. Located right on Ressurection Bay, the views are Spectacular. Our room was very large and had views that were breathtaking. Breakfast was also perfect to get the day started. We also booked our day long wildlife/glacier view through them. It was a spectacular day!! Orcas, puffins, black bear, star fish,... more

This is NOT the Hilton. As others have noted, it's down a couple of miles of dirt road, and as we took the jog into the immediate area I thought "what have we done?" Then we pulled up into a small lot to an all-log place. No one to greet us, but a note on the wall with instructions. Tired,... more

OK- before I write anything else. I will agree with the negative reviews about the noise. Bring ear plugs!! But other than that, I can't imagine there is a better place to stay in Seward. The lodge is super nice- first of all. It is clean, and located right on the water. The view from our room was absolutely fantastic-... more

In planning our trip to Seward, I read other folks' reviews on TA, and was a bit concerned. But my husband and I had no trouble connecting with the owners back in March when I made the reservations, and our stay was fabulous. When we arrived our name was on a tag board with our room number, and the key... more

we were lucky enough to stay in the upstairs rooms for 2 nights and then the yurt next door, all clean with beautifull views of the rain and clouds (not their fault!). the simple breakfast was fine with us but we too were concerned about the lack of anyone around and just finding the key in the door. we went... more

We stayed at the Saltwater Lodge for two nights last week. It's an okay property but not worthy of all the hype it gets on TA. We had a hard time booking our room. As others have posted, getting responses via phone or email is a bit challenging. My friend actually spoke to them live after several calls to confirm... more

The lodge is located outside of town and to get there you need to go down an unpaved road (not a big deal but it is worth noting ahead of time). We had a car whilst we were there but we did see Kathleen picking up and dropping off one of the guests who was staying there on her own... more

The Saltwater Lodge is in a quiet and scenic location, just a short drive from downtown Seward. The drive down Lowell Point Road, an unpaved road along the coast, offers beautiful bay views. The lodge is next to outfitters for kayaking and other excursions, and further down the street is the Tonsina Creek trailhead (Chugach National Forest). We stayed in... more

We just returned from an amazing trip to Alaska, highlighted by an overnight at the Saltwater Lodge. More than we could have imagined, and a place you must see. The view from our upstairs room was stunning, we saw the otters play in the bay, and were so comfortable the entire time. Kathleen is a pleasure to speak with and... more
