This hotel is expensive. And for the price we were paying, we were shocked that they didn't have blackout curtains on the doors, only blinds. We, and many other rooms around us, ended up using a blanket to hang in the door. It seems like this would be a standard amenity in Alaska, but apparently not here. The location is... More

I generally like HIEs for their value, but this one is outrageously priced and a little run down. The location is fantastic and that is what you are paying for. The staff at this location was excellent from the front desk to housekeeping; I have no quibbles with the service, but to pay upwards of $300/night (including tax) for a... More

The Holiday Inn Express is a great hotel for exploring Seward, especially if your taking a boat trip to Kenai Fjords National Park. The hotel is located right by the small boat harbor and half of the rooms have an excellent view out over the marina and to the mountains beyond. The hotel is modern, well appointed, and very comfortable.... More

Spent three nights at this location. Went with my daughter and had a fantastic room which had a balcony facing the harbor. The room had a small refrigerator, coffee machine and a microwave which came in handy. Breakfast was included in the price and had quite a variety. Around 8 at night a cookie tray but one need to get... More

I stay in a lot of holiday inn expresses, this one was the best. You are centrally located with in walking distances to everything. What we like was the fact out boat for our fishing trip was located jugs below our window. The train depot is about 100 yards to the right of the hotel. It's all right here. I'll... More

We stayed three nights. Due to some of the tripadvisor reviews, we were a little skeptical about the place. Our expierence was quite good. The hotel is located directly at the port of Seward with lots of restaurants located close by. The location is very nice and calm at night (and we had our window open all night). We had... More

This was the most expensive Holiday Inn I ever stayed at, but it is in a great location, so they can command a premium. We got a balcony room to over-look the harbor which was a much better view than the street side. For two nights, it was around $600, but I used AAA to get 10% off that. I... More

Wow ! The rooms are incredibly sparse & look like they were built 25 years ago & have the same furniture & never have been refreshed. They were fairly clean. Stayed for 2 days. The towels were not changed nor waste baskets emptied. Nothing replenished. It appeared just the beds were done. The staff downstairs was fairly pleasant however. Breakfast... More

We stayed here for two nights during our stay in Seward. The location was very convenient to the harbor for our boat tour and within walking distance to several restaurants. The view from the breakfast room was Amazing! The room overlooks the harbor and there was a cruise ship docked one morning during our stay within mountains in the background.... More

This hotel is a great place to stay. It is in the ideal location as it sits right on the harbor, making it the perfect place to watch the sunset. We had a balcony room which was very nice as well. Seward is one of my favorite places in all of Alaska and this hotel there will not disappoint!
