I love that most travelers reviewing here can still enjoy an Inn for its "soul" as opposed to just amenities. As Inn's go this one is a bit quirky but a very comfortable place to stay while in Seward. I did not see another spot in town I'd choose over this one. Meet the family, and Kia the dog and... more

My boyfriend and I came to this B &B in May 07. We did our homework and it paid off. . this was a great spot to stay. Clean, great breakfast (try the blueberry pancakes) and Tom, the owner is awesome. The highlight of our trip was a hike up Mt. Marathon. It was probably the most difficult hike I... more

This place is so unique! We had a small, clean (not a dog hair in sight) comfortable room with a fun loft which was perfect for our daughter, she said she felt like it was her own treehouse. It reminded us of camping or sailing and we found it to be funky, different and more reasonable from those cookie cutter... more

A Swan Nest Inn is a great find! We traveled to Seward in early June with a group of 8. We chose the Swan Nest because we were hoping to spend time with people who live in Alaska and to learn about the areas that we were visiting. With A Swan Nest we received that and more. Tom Swan, our... more

A laid back place, do it yourself checkin since both of the managing couple are out and about, not slaves to a B&B Very nice, comfortable, easy walk to anyplace in seward except the nearby (7 mi, just a mid range stroll) glacier Definitely worth the stay if you are going to Seward more

As parents with two young children (five and seven), we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Swan's Nest Inn in Seward. The loft was perfect for the kids: they loved having their own space, and so did we. The room was clean and pleasant, and the bed was very comfortable with a good quality mattress. It was worth the extra... more

My wife and two kids had a fantastic trip to Alaska and Seward stood out as places to visit. One of the best parts was our stay at A Swan Nest Inn. The kids still talk about the lofts. For a family you can not go wrong. The room is decorated and furnished using driftwood and other natural woods. It... more

The first thing that struck me about this B&B was how much care had been taken to restore the property to its previous state. The building stands in Seward's downtown (definitely can't fault the location!) and really stands out amongst the rest of the town. The owner, Tom, has done a tremendous amount of work to create a really nice... more

We stayed in B&B's and inns during our entire week in the Interior, and the size of the room we had here was no smaller than any of the other places we stayed. (It included a loft, should we have had a small person with us.) We got in late and exhausted, so went right to bed. (My husband is... more

Yes, the rooms are not huge. And the walls may be thin, but this is a real place, like the prior reviewer said, not a pre-cast concrete palace. Tom is very friendly, and so is Kia, the dog. I admired the way Tom built out the building, and enjoyed its character. There are two living / dining rooms to eat... more
