Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package with Kenai Tours. After Fox Island (which is lovely) I have to say I was a little disappointed with this lodge which was pretty expensive and was marketed as being rustic "cabin" type accomodation right on the banks of a river. The hotel is nice enough but not particularly full... more

The Windsong Lodge was a nice sort of upscale place in Seward. I say sort of as they attempt to be upscale and give the impression that they are upscale but compared to the rest of the US they would not be. But compared to the rest of Seward they are top of the line. If you want to be... more

We thought the Lodge was beautiful. The setting was perfect for Alaska visit. There were bears and moose at the river in front of the Lodge. It was very clean and breakfast was excellent. The shuttle was always on time and we worked our schedule around the "on the hour" thing. There was only one problem and that was check... more

We stayed at the Windsong Lodge this June for two three nights. I'm not sure why they built the hotel where they did or why AAA recommended it. It is expensive and not within a walkable distance of town. Also the free shuttle only goes into town once/hour (given the price of gas and the state of our environment I... more

The community of Seward was good, Windsong Lodge was not! We met a very rude and unfriendly employee at the check-in desk. The room was spartan with 2 uncomfortable chairs and a small table. It was a 2-star property with 4-star prices. more

Beware-not nearly as special as the advertising would like you to think! The location is right on the road, and it was hard to see the mountains from our room. It is worth noting that EVERYTHING in Seward has a mountain view, the entire town is at the foot of a mountain, so no reason to pay extra for this.... more

We stayed in Seward for 2 days at the end of May. As for my title, it is overpriced and overrated, but almost all of Sewards hotels/motels are run down. I will point out some problems, but I didn't see any alternative hotels in Seward. First, the positive, location....away from the city with free shuttles to and from the town.... more

We stayed at this lodge for three nights. It was a nice quiet setting. The rooms were clean and the staff was helpful. While the location is not within walking distance to Seward, there was a shuttle. We would stay here again when in the area. more

We stayed here the beginning of September for 2 nights, tried for a 3rd but no vacancy. Rooms are spacious and clean. Furniture accented with logs. We were on the 2nd floor, no elevator so you do have to carry your suitcases up. We managed just fine! The property is nestled in a woodsy area, across the street from the... more

Stayed here late August the night before taking a cruise. Rooms are spacious and clean. Furiture accented with logs. Mirror frame, headboard, shelves, etc., all made with logs. Goes with the lodge theme. Rooms are situated in several seperate units along paths throughout the property. There are two floors, 5 or 6 rooms per floor. Poperty is nestled in a... more
