This was a unique hotel. This rustic, yet cosy hotel was like a retreat center. The rooms were spotless. We had our coffee in the morning and sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the quiet woods. The breakfast cafe was a slight walk in the woods, but worth the trip, and we enjoyed the beautiful trees, and experienced nature... More

This hotel caters to cruise ship companies and tour busses. We were glad to have our own car so we didn't have to wait in line at the restaurant where the servers were obviously aware that most folks did not have or know they had options. When we arrived we asked at the front desk for trail maps for hiking... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Windsong Lodge, the rooms were clean and cosy and we really enjoyed the peace hearing the wind in the trees after a long day of cruising the fjords. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful about booking our adventure cruise in advance.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel in September. It has a beautiful setting close to a river, but in a nicely wooded area off the main street. Close to town and all the amenities with frequent shuttles to all the attractions. Room was very nice, rustic and comfortable. Dining room was excellent for the breakfast and dinner we had... More

Pleasant place. Sister to the Talkeetna Alaska Lodge. The rooms are in separate buildings scattered around the property. Convenient if you're driving and can park by your room, not so convenient if it's raining and you have to walk through it to your room and then on to the restaurant which is at the far end away from the lobby.... If you like it quiet and serene this is the place for you. The rooms are in 2 story apartment style buildings with about 10 rooms per building. Lots of paved parking right next to your building. The room was very clean and quite roomy compared to some locations. We had a nice little private deck with table and chairs.... More

Reception staff friendly which is more than I can say about the restaurant staff who were unnecessarily off hand. We ended up eating in the small boat harbour. The rooms were clean but dark and looked out onto woods which was a shame as the views from the front verandas were beautiful but the room door had to be left... More

I was traveling with a friend who is terminal hospice. This visit to Alaska was on her bucket list. She has difficulty moving around so we brought her wheelchair and a cane. My first experience was at check-in. The young man at the desk adamantly refused to let us check in early (it was 3:30 and check in time was... More

Book as part of our Celebrity Cruise Lines cruise-tour I can say its an OK Lodge but at least the building we were in was adequate but not a four star our better as our Celebrity agent had indicated regarding the hotels they used. Its greatest feature is its close to the Exit Glacier which our tour bus driver drove... More

This was a step back in time type of place. A real lodge. You even got real metal keys. It was clean and well kept. We stayed here over night. The restuarant was very good. We had dinner which was excellant.
