We stayed a total of 3 days at the Windsong Lodge. From the moment we arrived we got first class treatment. A young man took all our luggage to our room, which was behind the lodge just a short walk. The rooms were large and spacious, nicely decorated, each had a balcony to sit, and right outside the door, on... more

This relatively new hotel is simple, spacious and inviting. It is composed of multiple unit cabins or chalets. Each chalet has four or more first floor units with a similar configuration on a second story. There are no elevators. While the decor is sparse, hairdryers, coffee machines and provided toiletries are spa quality. The rooms have tv. There is free... more

We stayed at the Windsong near the end of our trip, and after a poor experience at their sister hotel, the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge, we arrived prepared for a disappointment. What a difference! We were in a suite the comfortably held the 4 of us. Because of the size of the room, and the beds plus the trundle bed we... more

stayed at the windsong two nights. our stay was quiet, maybe it was less crowded than during the other commenters time of stay. but we liked being off the road and away from the town of seward and the fish smell found near the harbor. It was a basic hotel room, clean and sufficient. really nothing to complain about. the... more

My aunt and I stayed here 1 night during our week in AK. It was easy to find and you can't beat the views. The room was nice and clean. The restaurant was ok, we were there for breakfast and dinner, the service was rather slow. Both the room and the resaurant were rather overpriced. more

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a tour package. Room was nothing special but clean. After 2 full days of activity in Seward, we were exhausted. Luckily, the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast at the restaraunt was just okay, but the dinner was EXCELLENT! Nice bar with plenty of Alaskan beer on tap. Free internet access in... more

Stayed 3 nights, place was okay, rooms are noisy from neigboring rooms, did not eat there. The Exit glacier tour is okay, but you really dont need a guide for this one. I think I would have enjoyed staying in Seward and being near all the boat and fishing activity much more. more

We arrived at the lodge before check-in and they sent us away. There is no leniency here for checking in. If you're early, they tell you to go away (or wait) and come back at 3pm. The room was decorated with "rustic" type furniture, and the sink was in the bedroom (next to one of the beds), rather than the... more

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of a package with Kenai Tours. After Fox Island (which is lovely) I have to say I was a little disappointed with this lodge which was pretty expensive and was marketed as being rustic "cabin" type accomodation right on the banks of a river. The hotel is nice enough but not particularly full... more

The Windsong Lodge was a nice sort of upscale place in Seward. I say sort of as they attempt to be upscale and give the impression that they are upscale but compared to the rest of the US they would not be. But compared to the rest of Seward they are top of the line. If you want to be... more
