Ok, don't think Four Seasons. You're in Seward, AK, for goodness sake! I don't give a 5 rating because the room's "view" was non-existent and the rooms were not very large. Antique furniture throughout. Rooms are average to small size. Managers are most accommodating--offered use of their personal refrigerator and dryer. Had coffee, juice and bagels/muffins for breakfast. No AC (but no hotel we stayed in had AC) and no elevator but wasn't a problem. Wi-Fi was great. Managers accepted AAA and Tour Saver Coupon so I got a great rate. more

I had some trepidation after reading previous reviews. The shower is, as some have said, tricky -- but you just need to fiddle with the nobs and set the temp before you get in. I felt like this hotel was more like a B&B I've stayed in. The staff was very polite and helpful, they were new to the area, but still tried to give information and assistance.
