We had a nice 1 night stay at Edgewater. I do not find the rooms too small for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was not big but adequate. The breakfast was good and convenient. They provided sausage muffins and omelettes that you could heat up in the microwave, so we did have hot breakfast there. Hotel... more

I booked this property for one night pre-cruise knowing that the rooms would be very small. I was able to get a $98 internet rate, so I figured that this great rate would offset any inconvenience. Location: While some reviewers state that it is in a great location, it is actually away from the "action" of the harbor whereas the... more

We stayed in room 305 which had very good views of the Resurrection Bay. We were confused between the Holiday Inn Express and this one and were glad we picked this. Holiday Inn Express has obstructed views due to the port blocking its view. Clean room, free breakfast, free wireless internet, heat works (no idea about AC), across Seward Sea... more

We stayed here for one night during our trip through Alaska. The hotel is in a very good location with some rooms overlooking Resurrection Bay, and the room itself was well appointed and exceptionally clean. The continental breakfast was OK... nothing special, but a nice bonus. Only drawback was somewhat paper-thin walls that allowed us to hear a tour group... more

We booked directly after spending one day in Seward at another nice hotel. The property looks nice from the outside and wood-trimmed lobby but the experience was a disappointment. Out $109 room was excruciatingly cramped! With one queen bed and nothing built-in (i.e. closets), the free-standing armoir and other furniture totally ate the remaining floorspace. It felt like a closet.... more

This place was really really dissapointing. I booked this room for three nights for three people, they said a roll away would fit in our room, it didn't. We had to switch rooms, and then it barely fit in the next one. It fit exactly between one bed and the wall, completely blocking the sliding glass door. Forget windows. The... more

We stayed at the Hotel the weekend of Sept 6-8,2008. The hotel had been renovated and it was great. The location was perfect especially if you dont have a car at your disposal. It is right down town and walking distance to the Boat Harbour. We stayed in a Bay view room room with balcony which was perfect. It overlooked... more

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Edgewater for 3 days at the end of a cruise which terminated in Seward at the end of August, 2008. The hotel is new. It is functional, with large rooms and for some, a great view of Resurrection Bay. The rooms were nicely decorated, if a little plain. The room had refrigerator... more

The hotel van was waiting at the train - I wasn't expecting it, but they wait there for every arrival. The hotel is located downtown and has an hourly shuttle to the harbor area (about a mile walk). The hotel looks like it was recently redone. The room was small, but nicely decorated and really clean. It had a flat... more

Expensive for the accommodations provided, but maybe that's par for the location. Our room was very tight. There's no A/C, so windows must be kept open - but when you're on the first floor looking right out into the street this is a real problem due to privacy and noise. Parking is on the street and is very limited, but... more
