The room was average but clean and comfortable. We stayed 4 nights and were totally comfortable here. Fridge and microwave were in the room and wifi available. The room was clean and had all that we needed for the little time spent inside. Alaska is all about the outdoors and we selected lodging for sleeping only and not relaxing inside.... More

Stayed 2 nights here over Labor Day weekend. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. We arrived by train, thus no car, but walked from here to downtown Seward, restaurants, museums, marina for boat tours, free shuttle bus every half-hour. With taxes, we paid $150/night. We were in Seward a full week primarily for the boat tours, hiking, restaurants & museums.... More

We stayed one night at the Harborview Inn in July. The room was average. We had a bad experience with the cleanliness, but when we reported it to the front desk the girl came with a vacuum and took care of it within minutes, even taking pictures so she could bring it to the attention of the cleaning staff. Not... More

I read the previous reviews and they realy too harsh or too good. I stayed here one night. Unlike some wronf information before they do have a fridge and microwave plus coffee machine...hot water were great and towels fresh and clean....i cant believe to thise guests that said it was the most expensive place for them in alaska unless they... This hotel smells funny, has a phone in the room that does not work, and we can hear EVERYTHING that is going on outside the room from other guests' conversations to traffic. Very disappointed for the price.

Plus-Comfortable beds, great desk clerk Minus - Penny pinching owners who avoid normal maintenance: Smoke detectors of doubtful functionality, outlets worn out, double pane windows fogged up inside, TP holders that don't (and no spare rolls), shower plumbing completely loose inside the walls, phones and WiFi that don't work, ratty and stained carpeting, poor sound insulation in walls, and painting... This motel was located close to both downtown Seward and the harbor. Rooms were small and a bit old fashioned, but very clean! We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. With nice weather you can sit outside on the balcony. Internet in the rooms did not work too well, but the closer to the office you moved... More

After our cruise, the free city shuttle dropped us off at the hotel, where we were allowed to check in very early (10 AM), giving us plenty of time to have a cup of coffee and get to our Kenai Fjords cruise at the harbor. We could walk everywhere from this location, and we also had a very clean and... More

This was a great spot in that it was only about 2 blocks from the harbor - which is where you'd want to be closest to. We also jogged down to the end of the road towards the "downtown" and then around on the seaside paved trail. There might have been things going on down that direction, but we loved... More

We stayed at the Harborview Inn during the July 4th holiday and celebration in Seward. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The room was very basic. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. As far as the price goes it would be difficult to compare since rooms are at a premium during the 4th and... More
