So I'll admit. This was my first Hostel experience and I chose to do it during the BUSIEST weekend of the year (4th of July in Seward Alaska). But the price was right and I was desperate for a bed. I couldn't have been more charmed by the whole thing. The bed I chose unfortunately was in the worst spot... More

I love Alaska for its uniqueness, ruggedness, and beauty. And for the interesting and quirky people I meet there. The Nauti Otter was such fun! I booked a bed on the floor at the top of the stairs, but since it was a quiet night, Heather let me pick an open bed in the big room upstairs. Does she ever... More

Spent 2 days here in private room (versus cabin or bunk room). Other guests said cabins were great. Excellent location to all Seward activities - glacier cruises, fishing boats, dining and shops. Kitchen is FULLY stocked w/food so you can make anything you want: pancakes/waffles for breakfast, pack a lunch for your day. It's not just juice & pastries like... More

A first glimpse of the Inn may be startling. But, owner has thought of EVERYTHING. Everything is organized and systematic with signs to direct you so you never feel lost or helpless. BEST.RUN.HOSTEL!!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the Nauti Otter! Heather was very friendly, helpful, and just downright amazing. Its not the ritz, but if you're looking to stay somewhere with a warm bed, hot shower, a true Alaskan feel, and amazing company give the Nauti Otter a shout. We will definitely be coming back! These people work... More

We stayed here at the very end of May for two nights in the Sourdough cabin (the perfect iteration of a little rustic, but not roughing it cabin) and we wished we had a longer trip -- solely to just stay at the Nauti Otter. Heather goes out of her way to help her guests, make them feel at home... More

I highly recommend the nauti otter. I stayed in a small cabin and i simply loved it. The atmoshere was great, i was invited to have dinner with other guests (they had just fished some salmon) and to go out with Heather (the owner) and her friends, which was a lot of fun. Plus, breakfast is really the best you... More

Heather is very friendly host and we loved staying at nauti otter. We played games after dinner with other travelers. It is well maintained and a fun place to spend your stay in seward. I recommend this place to anyone who would like to have a fun time in seward and like to interact with the locals.

Wow, forget Seward lol, Serene atmosphere, this is a place that attracts GREAT company! The owner Heather was very resourceful re: cabs, excursions and obviously had a great reputation within the community. The pics on website mirror in actuality....its a steal! Alaska is a perfect place to have an experience of outdoors...this place just enhanced it. It can be anything... More

The Nauti Otter is a fun little place, and it IS cozy! We had a great time there using two of the eight beds upstairs while the others were empty. I can't imagine staying here when this place is full! We had to walk through a room to get to ours past sleeping guests, and there was a curtained single... More

Thank you for writing a review! It means so much! I agree, hostels aren't for everyone but hopefully I made your stay a memorable one! I personally think the beds in the hostel are the most comfy! My goal for this year is to hang curtain dividers between each bed to give the hostellers a little more privacy. Thank you... More
