My partner and I stayed here for only a night, and I wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the Captain's Chambers inside the house. The room was really nicely furnished and quite comfortable. We happened to be there at a time when there weren't any other guests staying, so we also had a chance to explore the... More

I made a last minute reservation and I was lucky enough to have Heater and her staff fit me in. I enjoyed them and the rooms were very comfortable clean and quiet. If you are looking for a fun comfortable place to stay in Seward this is it It may not be for everyone which is to bad for them

As my first solo trip, I am so glad I decided to stay at the Nauti Otter! Immediately upon arriving Heather and her crew welcomed me and made me feel at home and like a friend. I was the only person staying in the hostel that night and they invited me to join them for karaoke in town. It was... More

What a wonderful and relaxing break from the regular fast paced travel world! I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay on my business trip to Seward. The accommodations were superb as was the staff which went over and above what you expect from a lodge. The property was peppered with rustic (on the outside) cabins and a few... More

If you are looking for a layed back, inexpensive, rustic place to stay, this is the place! I loved my rustic cabin and the flushable outhouse and outdoor shower. Heather is one awesome innkeeper. She is very friendly and informative about things to do in the area and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is awesome. Her... More

The Nauti Otter offeres cute amenities with a wonderful host with knowledge of sight seeing opportunities. The Nauti Otter is a short $5 taxi ride from the downtown harbor where you can walk to everything it offers

Seward does not have many cheap options for lodging. If you are trying to save a buck, keep in mind that you get what you pay for. We stayed in the "dingy", which is a tiny, tiny RV, that has been converted into a "room". It is really small and cramped (the description says that in a pinch 3 could... More

Unfortunately, travelers have different expectations. On the website, it clearly shows you are renting a 1960's camper which we have remodeled. You mention it does not have ventilation. All of the windows can be opened and we provided a fan, for ventilation. We are unsure what other kind of ventilation we could possibly provide as a ceiling fan or air... More

I stayed in one of the bunk beds upstairs, and have no complaints whatsoever. There was plenty of room during my stay, and I experienced no problems with the shared facilities (toilet, shower, kitchen). The place is very low-key, so travelers shouldn't expect anything fancy, but the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, and the make-your-own-breakfast bar a treat. In addition,... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2015

I visited mid-June 2015 for 3 nights. I stayed in the Mariner's Cabin, a rinky dink little shack that houses a tiny bed. But that's enough for me - I knew what it was going in. You have access to a bathroom (inside and an outhouse), showers, a kitchen, and a living room area. At night, with enough people, you... More
