We were sorry that we only stayed here for one evening. Sue was so friendly even before we arrived giving us tips and sites nearby. She was just as friendly once we checked in and the Yurts were 100% cleaner than the cabins we just stayed in Denali. She even left us with fresh baked bread. We had a rainy... More

We were only able to stay for 2 nights but wish we could have stayed a whole week! The yurts were so unique, we were excited to stay in one - and we were definitely not disappointed! The oil stove would have been cool to try if it had been colder out. There was delicious bread and juice boxes left... More

Stayed here 1 night after hiking Lost Lake Trail and before flying out of Anchorage. Sue was very accommodating with our last minute booking. We stayed in a yurt for $175, which is standard for the location and season, though it is expensive for a rural hotel room. It was worth it to us. We were beat after a day... More

I stayed here with family for 4 nights in June in the smaller sized yurt. The yurt had 1 queen sized bed and a couple of futons. It had a private bathroom with flushing toilet and shower and a small kitchenette with a microwave, coffee maker, toaster and dinnerware. The deck had a nice gas grill. The yurt did have... More

We were greeted by both Sue and Greg, the owners upon our arrival with open arms. They made sure we lacked for nothing and we felt as if we were as comfortable as in our own home, only it was much cleaner! This little slice of heaven nestled deep in the woods was quiet and serene, with all of the... More

If you're looking for both privacy and convenience, Sue and her husband have an ideal place to stay. The yurts are spacious, comfortable, and modern with just the right amount of Alaskan feel. If you visit during the summer, get used to perpetual twilight at night but don't let that keep you from enjoying the fire pit outside. Sue gave... More

Our party of five adults spent two nights in the two bedroom yurt and loved it. It is a unique lodging with very friendly and helpful hosts. The yurt was clean and spacious and had every accommodation we needed. Would definitely stay here again. When you leave, you will be wondering where you can buy and put your own yurt!

Thank you for your wonderful review. Our 30ft . yurt is perfect for a large group of up to (8) guests with plenty of hot water. The (2) private bedrooms make it a little more private when traveling with a group. Our yurts are fun and in a unique area with lots of wildlife. More

This is one of our new favorite places to stay in Alaska! Sue was incredibly accommodating and helpful with the entire visit, including a smooth booking process, calling the week before our arrival to confirm and make sure we didn't have any questions, all the way through to our checkout 3 nights later. Once we arrived she was a great... More

We really enjoyed our night in the Yurt! We were a multi-generational family traveling in AK this summer and needed a place to stay with at least 3 beds. The hotels in Seward just don't offer that. I was thrilled to find Sourdough Sue's close to town. The yurt was warm, dry, and comfortable. We had all the kitchen amenities... More

These young adults were very disrespectful . They took advantage of my good nature and hospitality. I offered to accommodate them and move their luggage for them the next morning to the other yurt. they did not tell me that they had left a whole truck full of items weightin hundreds of pounds to move. If they would have asked... More
