We stayed at sunshine house for 4 nights and had a fabulous stay. Marshall and Mike are wonderful hosts and provide great breakfasts - at least 4 courses - even making salmon patties specially for my husband. The bed was super comfy with beautiful quilts made by Marsha. Our hosts provided lots of local knowledge on places to see which... More

Sunshine House definitely lives up to its stellar reviews. Having dust allergies was not a problem at all. Apparently Mike can clean rooms just as well as he can cook! We did not have the pleasure of meeting Mike during our 3 day stay, but let me assure you, we did not suffer in the least. Marsha turned out amazing... More

Mike and Marsha are awesome hosts providing a real Alaskan experience in their very homely b&b. There is nothing flashy about this place, just good old fashioned friendly hosts who provide warm comfortable rooms and Mike cooks up a storm for breakfast. The b&b is walking distance to everything in town - loved it!

Mike, one of the owners, suggested that a B & B should be all about "the bed" and "the breakfast". The Sunshine House did not disappoint! The pillow top mattress offered a luxurious night's sleep and the breakfasts were extraordinary. I'm not sure what we enjoyed more; the ambiance of sitting with Mike and Marsha as they prepared breakfast, the... More

Although our time in Seward was cold and rainy that was only the weather. Inside this delightful B&B Mike and Masha do everything they can to help you feel warm, dry and like family! We stayed two nights in early June and watched Mike prepare two mornings of breakfast treats that had us wanting to stay longer. Not only can... More

My wife and I were there in Early July and we stayed for a couple of nights in the upper bedroom. It was our first B&B so we were not sure what to expect but everything was great from the room to the location of the unit to the company/owners (Marsha and Michael). The location is within walking distance to... More

The reason we like staying in B&Bs in people's homes from time to time is to interact with local people and that's just what we did at Marsha and Mike's summer home. They are a lovely couple who willingly share their knowledge of the area and team well to provide that amazing breakfast. The food just kept coming! Mike was... More

Marsha & Mike were very welcoming and went out of the way to accommodate us. We arrived late around midnight and they served us breakfast at 6.30am! Mike is a great cook, it was nice talking to them over breakfast. The bed was cosy and the bathroom was more than adequate, and the folks were genuinely good. Would stay here... More

In writing this review I am conflicted. On one hand Mike and Marsha were friendly, informative and down right helpful. The rooms had been refurbished and the beds very comfortable. Effective free wi fi was included. And go and have a look at the view from the upstairs bathroom its amazing Houses in Seward are frankly very ordinary this is... More

Mike and Marsha were great hosts, very helpful on what to do in Seward, and made awesome breakfasts! Even got us to try and enjoy lox! All of the food was made with a local flavor, including salmon cakes, fireweed jam make by a neighbor, raspberry jam, and ceviche(we passed as we could see the smoke coming off of it... More
