Our family of 4 (kids 13, 14) enjoyed our 3 night stay at Havenwood!! The owners, Karen and Duane are sweet and kind people. Why stay in a tiny motel room, when you can have your own apartment with all the amenities for the same or cheaper price. We really enjoyed having laundry facilities for washing mid-trip. WiFi was very... More

Great place to stay if you want to fee like you are at home when visiting Seward. The apartment is efficient but not crampt. The proprietors are great people, really friendly and helpful. The apartment is clean and comfortable.

My wife and I have had the good fortune of staying at Havenwood each of the last three summers. This is the perfect home away from home in every way! From the hospitality of your hosts, to the charming, clean and comfortable accommodations, to the perfect location (in a quiet spot but close to town) - Havenwood is quite simply... More

This is by far the best guest house I have stayed at during my travels. Not only is the cabin an easy drive from downtown and the local grocery store, but it's just remote enough to feel like a true getaway. Our hosts were gracious, helpful, and accommodating both before and during our stay. The house itself is huge-- giant... More

We stayed here 3 nights for our visit to Seward. The guest house is located adjacent to the main house, but separated by an entry way. The accommodations were spotless upon our arrival and we were greeted by Karen with hot from the oven chocolate chip cookies - yum! The kitchen is well stocked with cereals, oatmeal, granola, coffee, tea,... More

Highly recommend Havenwood Guest House. The property is secluded and spacious. Had everything we needed. Didn't see our hosts but did chat with someone checking in on the place. Only suggestion would be if you want to use the grill, grab some matches (since the ignition button didn't work) and some tongs. Otherwise it was perfect. Would have stayed longer... More

We stayed at B&Bs in Homer, Seward and Palmer, and this was the most spacious B&B we had during our trip to Alaska. Karen is a considerate, hospitable and unassuming hostess. It is in a quiet area, no view, but since you are surrounded by views all day sightseeing this is not a shortcoming. You are surrounded by trees which... More

Fantastic guest house with privacy, comfort and all those little extras that made our stay a real treat. Super comfortable beds.....hot tub.....laundry facilities..fresh baked goodies and a full kitchen were all very welcome. We really enjoyed our two night stay and would love to return! Karen and Duane were excellent hosts --I recommend wholeheartedly!

My husband and I had an amazing one night stay at Karen and Duane's guest house after a 2-3 hour drive from Anchorage. They prepared a delicious plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies to welcome us. The breakfast choices (cereals, oatmeal, and milk) they provided were great to wake up to. They also had coffee and hot chocolate available in... More

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the door. The photos did not do it Justice. Our kids 17 & 7 liked the fact that they each had their own bed. The 7 yr. old enjoyed the little nook that had books, trains and other games to play with. The 17 yr. old loved the WiFi.. Of course! It was... More
