The location is great! Accommodations are comfortable and spacious. Just need to bring your clothes and toiletries...everything else is provided. Great touch with fresh baked goods. Everything is clean and organized. Owner's respect your privacy.

The Brass Lantern B & B is a must-return-to place! The accommodations were perfectly clean, with details such as coffee filters, freshly baked cake, dish supplies and even various toiletries. Maureen, our host, was pleasant helpful and was the perfect host. The location is just blocks away from everything in Seward. The streets were quiet and we felt part of... More

You couldn't ask a better location in Seward, Alaska! Maureen Lemme could give lessons in how to make your visit great! She provides the most delicious array of breakfast goodies you could want, and often, when returning in the afternoon there would be fresh gingerbread, cookies or banana bread awaiting us! The Brass Lantern in just a couple minutes walk... More

I highly recommend staying at the Brass Lantern B & B in Seward, AK. This is a convenient location with a beautiful private apartment style. The homemade bread and cookies are the best! Very clean and neat. A wonderful experience.

Maureen our host was welcoming and friendly. Our breakfast food selection was generous, and the baked goods tasty. The bedrooms are on the bottom floor while the living room, kitchenette, and bathroom are on the top. Getting to the microwave is a bit of a bend for tall folks like us because of the slant of the ceiling, but a... More

We stayed 2 nights in Brass Lantern in August 2012. Maureen was both friendly and helpful. She made us felt welcome. It's within walking distance to the downtown area, yet it's situated on a quiet street. The unit is attached to the main part of the house with its own entrance. It's not too big but would be very comfortable... More

My wife and I stayed here in August of 2012. Of the 3 B&Bs we stayed at in Alaska we liked this one the best. Good breakfast selection, centrally located, plenty of room, privacy, facilities for preparing our own meals if we chose to and excellent advice from the owners about hiking and dinning options around Seward. A laundromat was... More

We arrived at this B&B and immediately felt very comfortable and at home. There were pastries, fruit, milk, etc... left for us (and the pastries were DELICIOUS). The entire unit was clean and quiet. We enjoyed all of the Alaskan magazines that were left for us and the ability to use the WIFI so we could communicate with loved ones... More

Staying at the Brass Lantern was so much better than an over priced hotel. It was the perfect accomidation for our budget style of traveling through Alaska. I was traveling with my father and sister so the 2 single beds and queen were perfect for us. Maureen left fresh cookies on the kitchen table as well a fruit, muffins, yogurt,... More

This private cottage was exactly what my 7 year old daughter and I needed while visiting Seward! I highly recommend this clean and comfortable B&B. Plenty of breakfast foods already in the kitchen along with fruits in the fridge and OJ in the freezer. We slept great in the comfortable beds and were close enough to downtown to walk for... More
