Very clean and accommodating owner. We were the only ones that night and the owner upgraded us to the first floor suite. The owner gave us very good recommendation for dinner (Chinooks). She also holds an "ice cream bar" around 8-8:30 pm. The portion was generous for me and the ice cream was amazing. The breakfast served was one of... More

This was not my first stay at Bear Lake Lodgings. Each time has been nothing short of amazing. During this visit, I enjoyed watching the pair of eagles in their nest from the dining room. Mom and dad eagle taking turns sitting on the nest was very entertaining. Two swans visited the lake the first night as well. The room/bed... More

This is an ideal location if you want to explore the mountains, lakes, and scenery around Seward. We came in February to see Alaska in the winter, and Pat and Dennis's hospitality was extraordinary. Each day we were there, they recommended a few running or hiking routes of ranging difficulty and scenery. We got to see the stunning snow packed... More

We need to thank you for coming to visit in the winter! And, for coming to explore so much of our area in the winter months. Your descriptions of our area are perfect - Seward does have plenty of things to enjoy in the summer - but you found many to enjoy in the winter too! Bear Lake offers more... More

This was the best part of our trip to Alaska. The lodge is located close to Seward (5 min by car) in front of a nice lake. The accommodations are great - me and my three children stayed in a big room in the first floor. The owner prepared a great breakfast eveymorning, and at 8 she had a 'icecream... More

Very nice to have guests enjoy Seward late in the summer season. We very much enjoyed conversations with you and your children letting us learn about your part of the world too! The lake offers guests an added opportunity when they stay with us to explore our wilderness in another manner - Happy you gave it a try. Very thrilled... More

This is a wonderful place to call 'home': Rooms are clean, tidy, and organized for use. Lakeside view with Bald Eagles on the fly. Absolutely the best food: reindeer omelets and french toast, second to none. They are happy to supply events, directions, and other attractions in the area.

Great location right on Bear lake with surrounding woods and mountain views. Accommodations were first class: cozy, rustic, clean and the breakfasts are yummy. Good Value too! The owners are wonderful, gracious and very knowledge about the area (what to do , where to go). I will be back!

October visitors win in many ways - with good trail hiking still available, greatly reduced rates and some of the local summer season tourist activities open. Your kind remarks are greatly appreciated and helpful to guests looking to travel during the late season. Our wonderful Alaska Sealife Center is open year round. We keep a guest activity book for suggested... More

First the breakfasts. Baked Apple French toast straight out of the oven, reindeer omelettes, bacon and eggs, sweet muffins. Great way to start the day. Because I was travelling solo late in the season Pat and Dennis went to great lengths to ensure I got back safe from my hikes. Pat went as far as dropping me right at the... More

Late season guests get spoiled - we have more time to relax. This guest was here to push the adventure limits allowed for an October visit in Alaska. He found great trails open and plenty of experiences to take with him till his next trip north. Looking very forward to your return with your wife, hope she has your love... More

My husband and I just went for an overnight get away from Wasilla and my only regret is we didn't stay longer. The lodge is beautiful, clean, and peaceful. We stayed in the Lakeside Suite and really enjoyed the private entrance and direct back deck access with the gorgeous lake view. Also, we couldn't have asked for better host! Pat... More

The wife and I had a wonderful experience at Bear Lake B&B. Owner/Hostess/chef and Activity Adviser Pat Perry was a most pleasant and knowledgeable resource. The property was superbly maintained and Pat's breakfasts were perfect for each active day we began. The free kayaks available are a nice touch and indicative of the concern for guest satisfaction. We were also... More

Definitely missed you guys as soon as you left! Nice the late season rates make visits to Seward a good bargain. We are very happy that local Sewardites find us the accommodations they most want their visiting family to stay with! That says a lot to us! Thank you for the brilliant comments on our efforts and the quality and... More

My newly wed wife and I stayed here and had a wonderful time. The room was comfortable and clean and using the free kayaks to paddle around Bear Lake was great. Our hosts Dennis and Pat were so friendly and wonderful to chat with. Pat made us some really great breakfast too! I would heartily recommend this B&B to anyone!

We are only a two hour drive away from Anchorage and puts our local guests into a new environment to explore. Happy you picked us for your newlywed escape and found that we met all your expectations. October can be a milder month and kayaking the lake is still possible. Great you two made it out for a paddle and... More
