Spent a week at the 'King Kame' recently. First, the staff is wonderful. From front desk to bellhops, everyone is trying to make sure you have a wonderful time on the Big Island. Need a cab, no problem. How about a scale to weigh your luggage? You got it. Recommendations for 'local restaurants'? Piece of cake... or is it pie?... More

Overall the hotel is a comfortable and relaxing place for a short stay. Conveniently located to places to eat and stroll around. The beach area is a little small and cramped, but then there are many other place in Kona to go swimming. The only negative part of the property is having to pay for parking. I would like to... Old school hotel with a modern touch! Comfortable, modern rooms very nicely appointed. The ocean is steps away and the hotel has a great outdoor pool only steps away from a lagoon perfect for beach lounging, swimming or learning the stand up paddle board. The hotel is full of local and traditional artifacts and the accommodations are very reasonably priced. Located... More

Loved our stay here. Our first stop on our Honeymoon. Right near the center of town. Close walk to literally everything you could imagine. We also drove to the sea horse farm and Thunder Mountain Coffee Farm - not too far away. Loved taking the kayaks out and we also did swimming with the manta rays - DO NOT MISS... More

Nice hotel close to the restaurants and shopping in Kailua-Kona. Room was very clean and quiet, only noise was from the tennis courts below my balcony. Small beach and pool by resort standards, but seemed big enough for all the guests during Memorial Day weekend. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Yes yes yes! If you want a mix of resort and local accommodation King Kam is the place to be. This is the second time we've stayed here and we will definitely be back. Sure it does get busy on the weekend but that adds to the tapestry of the variety of the hotel. The staff are great and it... More

My husband and I recently stayed 8 nights at this Hotel. It is in a great location, clean, comfortable bedding and all staff was friendly and helpful. I had some reservations from some bad reviews I had read and found none of them to be true for us. We had an ocean front room that is well worth the extra... More

The hotel is in the heart of Kona. All your shopping need can be located near there. The hotel staffs are friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. The pool is very nice, there's a small gym, yoga room, and small stores connected to the hotel. I didn't like that on the weekends it gets busy and you get... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was nice and quiet. comfy queen beds x 2 .Microwave and fridge. TV. Whatever, who wants to sit in a hotel room and watch tv when you are in Hawaii? My room was on an upper floor and had an ocean view. Importantly, I could not hear the people in other rooms.... More
