We had no complaints really. The location is pretty good for exploring some of the interesting beaches/sites on the SE side of the Big Island. The kids enjoyed the pool. Food was fine but overpriced. Rooms were nice, with a good sized balcony to sit on. We were mountain view, but really it's a pretty nice view of the mountain... More

We took our in-laws to spend a night before we sent them back to the Mainland. This was my third stay at this oceanfront resort, so I knew what to expect. The views from the hotel of the ocean and Keauhou Bay are stellar. The grounds are well-kept with a nice selection of tropical plants. The pools are large and... More

This is our 3rd or 4th year coming back to the Sheraton Kona Resort for an increasing chunk of the winter. This year, we were here for 6+ weeks. The location is simply THE BEST ON THE BIG ISLAND! Where else can you be within feet of the pounding surf! This Sheraton is fantastic in every way! We love it... More

I was impressed by Marvin (front desk) and Jeff (front desk manager): They were able to solve a login problem of my laptop originated by a login mistake in another Sheraton, a problem which the hotline could not even understand. (Don't call the hotline, it is a waste of time). Their ability is well above the usual level of a... More

The hotel is on the Kona Coast south of the airport. Public transportation is basically non-existent and the taxi ride is very expensive. Not too many high quality restaurants in the area; the breakfast buffet is adequate saved by the miso soup and the bagels. Activities in the area are great; we went on the Fair Wind snorkel tour and... More

First off, we are not resort people, we are more condo people. We ended up here due to a conflict at our condo and were upgraded through our travel agency. With that said, we loved our stay. It was very fancy for us. Our room was a mountain-view room, but we could still see Keauhou Bay to the right. We... More

Overall its fine. My husband and I just stayed 7 nights in an ocean front room overlooking the Manta tours every night. Without the wonderful view and the activity of the tour boats I would have really been disappointed in the hotel. We were able to see whales in the distance from our room, and in the morning spinner dolphins... More

It is a nicely located major hotel BUT seems to have some "issues". On check-in and arriving at our unit we found it only partially cleaned. Short on towels with an open and used bar of soap. During our stay the wireless internet was fluctuating all over and it was serviced; but died again two days later. Breakfast was very... More

Avg service, no 4 or 5 star frills at all. Very basic room amenities. Large property, nice pool, couple of good restaurants and a wonderful cliff + shoreline. Very far from downtown. Tries to be all in itself, but doesn't really fly. Good for family to have a resorty vacation.

Although we platinum members, we arrived late night (due to flight delays) and our room was taken... They only had 2 queen rooms available on another wing, because of other flight cancellations or whatever... Not a very good start.... When asked about what was include in the Bfast, she literally responded 'the breakfast is ok'...just ok?!????? Shouldn't you display more... More
