First off, the hotel is great! Clean, modern, and comfortable. I booked a manta view room and highly enjoyed it. Every night I sat on my balcony watching the beautiful rays dance. The restaurant/bar was below me and I liked the noise. The local musicians were lovely. It shuts down by 11:30 so early to bed people should avoid. The... More

The hotel is beautifully decorated. Staff are very friendly, expect for one rude grumpy valet at the front. Rays on the bay is very nice restaurant onsite, on a stunning lava bluff. Awesome spot to see sunsets. Room service is very weird! I've never been in a hotel that served only at specific hours throughout the day!

Beautiful hotel with awesome view! We are gold SPG members and received great recognition. We were upgraded to an ocean front room , we received cabanas for half price. The staff was very nice and were we very pleased with our stay.

My wife and I had finally been able to make it to Hawaii after nearly 31 years of marriage and 6 children (August 4th is our anniversary). The Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay was an amazing facility, and the staff was just as awesome. Thanks to everyone that made our stay a trip that we will both... More

Rooms were nice. Hotel is wide open so you can feel the breeze from the ocean. Beautiful views. Swimming pool with a small waterfall. Coffee and breakfast bar. Rays on the Bay bar and restaurant overlooking the ocean. Great spa. You can sign up for a luau but that's only on Mondays and I think it's $80/person. There is air... More

We just got back from Kona from a 2 night stay at this hotel. The pictures and the reviews do not accurately reflect the condition of the hotel. The lobby is very nice and updated but the rest of the hotel desperately needs updating. It didn't rain during the time we were their year their was water leaking from the... More

This hotel was a great place to stay to enjoy activities on the west side of the island. The rooms were big and very nice. Our mountain view rooms had a view of the ocean as well (though not a head-on view). As mentioned, there was some echoing from the sounds in the hallway, but it didn't bother me. We... More

Good hotel - could use some updating. Very convenient to the harbor that has the snorkeling tours for the Big Island (e.g., Kealakekua Bay) and the manta tour (must do!). Couple of hours from Volcanoes Natl Park. Can't beat the hotel views!

First, the location is great -- right on Keauhou Bay fronting the best place for watching manta rays feed at night. Second, the rooms are huge for the price -- probably an artifact having to do with the age of the (recently updated) building. Lots of free self-parking (or valet, for a fee), beautiful lobby, etc. The problem, for us,... More

We stayed five nights. All very good except ocean view room was overlooking swimming pool. We moved after a big fuss the next day. Great pool complex and beautiful views. We ate out down town in Kailua almost every day and night. A good base to work from for the trips though a long way to Volcano, Sumit and Hilo.
