My husband and I just got back from a week at The Bilfisher. We would return in a minute! We stayed in Unit D2. It has a partial ocean view from the balcony where we watched breath taking sunsets. The unit was beautifully furnished and spotless. It contained everything we could possibly need right down to a blender, lawn chairs... More

I have stayed at several RCI resorts and this one is just like most others. Not too good, not too bad. I understand it was recently updated but the rooms still look dated and smell of something. My spouse said it best, a men's musty locker room. PROS: The beds are comfortable; the sheets and linens are top of the... More

We stayed for a week in D2. Check in went fine with Liz. She was cordial and apologetic about all the fees we had to pay which got me upset. Apparently I should have paid more attention to the details before I booked this place on price alone. Anyway we had to pay about $66 for a transfer fee (... More

A nice enough resort in an excellent location but there were plusses and minuses. First the pro's: Location, location, location. Easy walking distance to downtown restaurants and attractions. The unit itself had been recently updated with a new stove. Clean and well kept. Staff appeared friendly enough although the only contact we had with them was checking in and checking... More

My family recently stayed here over Christmas break and the location was great. Walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants. It is also super convenient to have a full kitchen in the unit as well. Aside from the awesome location, there is not much else extremely positive to say about the hotel. The staff was very unfriendly and... More

The review entitled, "Great location, outdated hotel" indicates a misunderstanding of the reviewer regarding the Kona Billfisher. The Kona Billfisher is an owner operated small condominium property which is separately rented or RCI traded by its owners. Office staff is present to checkin/out guests, but is not equipped to provide concierge service. All units were fully renovated 3 years ago... More

(2013) Yes the location is nice, but you would think with he yearly bad reviews on the testy attitudes of the office staff that either the staff would see the light or management would change what they need to change. When the four of us stayed there we had read the reviews and were aware of the possible irritable staff... More

The Kona Billfisher is a small owner managed timeshare and is unique in that our fractional ownership period is one month and a large percentage of our owners return to our units every year. The Trip Advisor reviews are more than 10 to 1 complimentary of our facility, staff, location and amenities. Our towels are the best quality available, therefore... More

We stayed 11 days at the Billfisher in T3, a 2 bedroom, third floor unit. We did not have a view, but that was fine. As long as you aren't looking for a big resort feel, this is a great place. I like the idea of having breakfast in the room and the ability to pack a cooler for lunch.... More

My wife and I stayed six nights October 6-12 on an exchange through RCI. We were very pleased with Kona Billfisher. We were in unit M-3 which is on the third floor with an island view. We liked that unit as it gave us privacy where our main windows were. Billfisher is a great location as everything in downtown Kona... More

We have stayed here twice and have loved it. Every night we just walk across Alii Drive and have cocktails and watch the sunset. Romance at it's finest! We stayed on the 3rd floor which has a loft and very high ceilings making the place very roomy. The unit was on the end, overlooking the pool and we never heard... More
